Our friends had a sat nav, they called her Penny, next time we went out with them I asked where Penny was, ‘gone out of the window!’ He said.

We don't really have a choice. The routes are pre-programmed into them for each route.
The vans are "tracked" and we can be quizzed if we go "off piste"

I had one years ago that tried to take me down some steps at St Agnes @Hostafan1

Think the newer ones are much better  ... has someone been fiddling with the settings on your work one?

Sounds as though you’ve had one of those mornings, Hosta. I think your shop should ask for careful directions when they take the order.

I must be bonkers ... I've just had the oven on and baked a load of cheese scones ... I did it 'cos I realised that OH had eaten the last of the bread and there was  no way I was going to walk, cycle or drive to the shops in this weather ... cheese scones only need the oven on for 15 mins so that's what I made ...

No problem with that dear, sleep when you’re tired, eat when you’re hungry, neither of us have many to answer too. In fact, it will probably do you good as you won’t be overtired when you get to bed.

@Dovefromabove and @Lyn, there's truth in what you both say.
My sleep has been fairly good ( by my standards ) of late. Asleep around 10.30 ish and awake around 6am. A lot more than usual.
I'll let you know in the morning.

I worry that the next generation have no idea what their country is like, they all seem to depend on sat nav. I often turn it off because I know a quicker way!
Yes, Fairy I resisted but Chatsworth, ine I think Hosta recommended is doing well.
feeling very sorry for all my wee g c‘s in London No one wanted to chat to Grannie tonight. Miserable day for them and the tube doesn’t bear mention. The upside of that is everyone seems to be walking more.
