Evening all. Got to 23 here today - too hot for me if I'd been out in it,  but there was a breeze when I got home, so it was all good. Painted the frame of the bird cage [I've finally got round to that ] and did a bit of potting on, and various other minor duties.
Smoked gammon steaks for us, but with a veggie and yogurt sauce including the juices, and some rice/wedges depending on personal choice.
Pat - I didn't hear the reason for the farmers obstructing the route, but I can only imagine it's because their daily lives must be severely disrupted by it.
Glad you had a lovely night under the stars Dove. Doing an overnighter on a hill summit to get the sunrise, is something I want to do, but I think it's out of the question just now! Annoyingly, the recent weather would have been excellent. I'm thinking of heading to the Galloway hills at the weekend, weather permitting, and it's famed for the clear skies at night for stargazing. Northern Lights as well.
Need to go back outside and get a bit more done before I settle down with a cuppa.

Latest bowl tonight, perfume intoxicating.  They will only last two days but then the next lot are ready!

Hi LP - I take it you sowed more sweet peas after your disappointing ones - or did the originals perk up?
We had a beautiful moon last night - think tonight may be similar.

Moon is bright here. Full moon is Friday, and it is a blood moon with eclipse.

I’ve been for a walk down to no. 1 dam, Hosta. The level is still dropping.

The positive side to this is that I managed more than 4000 steps. I sometimes think it would be easier to take medication for diabetes and forget the torture. 😏

    Morning all, Afternoon Pat

Went garden visiting yesterday evening .....an NGS garden locally.  Beautiful garden, made even more interesting by the before and after photos - the place was basically a field when they moved in 30 years ago.  Wonderful to see how it evolved and how much can be achieved.  Also discovered a new Cosmos, definitely on my list to grow next year - called cupcakes, as the flowers look like the paper cases you bake cupcakes in 😀
