Early start today - cuddly Cosmos - but that's OK as it's sunny and still and set to warm up.   I'm off to spray acres of chunky gravel - broken rock rather than wee pebbles so not hoe-able and then some proper weeding in beds later on.   I'm not usually an early bird but it's lovely out there today and I di get an exuberant greeting from the doglets.

I hope Possum and OH are having a lie-in and restful morning after all the stress.   Thanks to all for your good wishes.

I hope your visit went well Liri.  Can't be easy, especially with the travel.  Wrap up well Pat.  Hope you get some proper rain soon.

Greetings to all yet to pop in.

    Morning all.
May I add my congrats to Possum too.
Chicky I spoke to Hubby yesterday at 3.45 and he was topping up his tan in Addlestone but I ended up sticking the heating on for half an hour.
Good news, a massive portion of rat poison disappeared yesterday. Fingers crossed Bazeeeel and his missus will soon be no more.
Another dreech old morning. Drizzle and a heavy mist. Polytunnel weeding methinks.

Thank you Hosta.   Good luck with your rat extermination.   It may take a few doses if they're already breeding but I haven't seen evidence of one here since we put down poison after we moved in.   Helps having a ratting dog I think, and all that horse and cow feed at the neighbours.

Planning a spot of sun bathing myself later.  Why do legs take so long to get any colour?  I have furniture moving bruises to hide!

@Obelixx, what I never understand is why my nose burns. I mean, it's out there all day , every day and it's never covered up. You'd think it'd be used to sunshine by now?
I've never used any sun protection on my legs, even when it's been over 40C and they never burn.

Morning all ... still at MILs as the skip didn't appear when promised and when it did come they sent a tiny one which had to be exchanged.
Weve also had very erratic broadband until this morning when it suddenly seems to be working. I shall read back ...

Chicky, both cardigans are finished except for the i-cords to wrap around toggles.

He has changed his mind @Hostafan1. He told me not to get one ... he will enjoy the canna and the ginger lily. However I did get another lovely clematis.  :)
