The new de-caf , anti insomnia regime ( apart from one cup first thing ) is doing nothing but leaving me with a headache. I don't think I slept for more than half an hour all night long without waking, sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes several minutes.

OH gave up caffeine entirely about a year ago because it was triggering migraines on the down slope IYKWIM. It took at least 6 weeks for the withdrawal to begin to diminish and if you're having one cup a day, it will probably take even longer for the stimulant effect flatten out. So if you want to give it a proper try, you're going to have to stick with it, unfortunately - you won't know until autumn, probably, if it helps.

Drizzle and drab here - annoying without actually doing any good.

Monthly vet oncologist visit for me and the tripawd today, so catch you later. Have a good Monday everyone

Supposed to start being hot, dry and sunny today but we have clouds and drizzle.  Washing drying inside then.

Hosta - yes, withdrawal symptoms.  Just have to stick with it but drink plenty of fluids to keep your brain hydrated.

RG - hope all goes well at the vet's today.  Chicky - enjoy.  Not long till you have both of them home.

Possum is presenting her thesis to a jury today.  Much stress so, as ever, not talking to me, and being short with her dad who is up there to support her.  I hate exams time.

Making chocolate raspberry brownies for patchwork this pm.   Yum!  While it bakes I shall see if I can get Busy's pics to load.

Hello everyone. I’ve been to Ukelele group today and now flopped in front of tv after hubby’s latest home made pasta effort. No wonder I’ve to watch my weight🙄

Pat, it's nice to relax and have a meal cooked for you.
BL, your garden is looking good. Relax now and turn a blind eye to any weeds for a wee while.
Obelixx, you have accomplished quite a lot in OH's absence. Possum will soon be back on speaking terms.
I wish this cool wind would go away. It's been quite chilly in the evenings and the heating has been put on for a couple of hours.

Cool here too Joyce.  Had to put a nightie on to get warm again after being woken by severe cramps last night.    No more furniture moving today and a peaceful afternoon chatting with the ladies as we stitch and snip so I should be raring to go tomorrow.  No heating tho.  Just a rug when I do flop on a sofa for an hour or so in the evening.

Hoping the forecast is correct and I can get some gardening done the rest of this week after 3 days of hard labour indoors.   Need to find time to paint the downstairs loo too while I can take the door off to make life easier.

Took ages but I've seen your pics at last busy.   Bootiful!

Hostafan, the Yanks still haven't got to grips with the fact that she is not "Princess Meghan" and she will not be Queen. (unless something drastic happens to Charles, William, George, Charlotte , and Louis. ) Even if something happened to that lot, so Harry would be crowned King, if the marriage survives that long she would only be Queen consort.

My two new water lilies are now 15 water lilies.
    2 x £21.99 seems a lot but £2.93 each is a bargain.
