Just back from the garden centre and 2 more water lilies followed me home: Froebelii and Candissima. I reckon I can split them now into 5 or 6 plants each so the £21.99 each wasn't too bad, especially as Hubby paid for one.

    Hello everyone.

Sad news indeed re Glasgow school of art - our daughter raved about it when she went there for an interview, years ago.  The first fire was apparently caused by a faulty projector in the library.

We had the pleasure of watching a fledgling great spotted woodpecker being taught to use the fat cake feeder this morning - and a baby nuthatch being fed this afternoon.   :)

I'm delighted to report that a) we've had a thunderstorm, so the garden is breathing a sigh of relief - and b) no water has come through the roof...   :D

Hope you were able to enjoy your open garden day, BL, after all your hard work.  I guess you'll have very mixed feelings about it being the last time though...

Good luck, LG!  As Corporal Jones would recommend - don't panic!  You'll remember more than you think you know if you relax.   :)

WE had a bit of rain... just after I had gone up the garden to water in the plants I put in today. I had to shelter in the greenhouse for half an hour. Then it still wasn't enough to wet the soil under the oak.  I think my eyes were bigger than my garden when I started planning for this year. I still have half a dozen bags of gladioli to put in. Not to mention four dozen large cosmos, and about a dozen dahlias.

Terribly sad about the Art school. Spent many hours there. As a textile fan it was always the embroidery annual show that drew me.
pat sorry/or glad there was no snow, you decide!

    Morning all.
    Coal face duties to-day.
I've just been looking at the latest photos of the Art School. Too upsetting.

Lovely combo Hosta.   Hello everyone.   Popped in twice yesterday but didn't post.  Busy and then shattered.   Furniture moving all day and it involved a large number of books as well as shelf building.   Just a bit more to do today and then I can concentrate on gardening.

Cosmos has caught his first mouse, all by himself.   Slow starter.

Someone has finally enquired about our house sit but they have two dogs of their own.

Far too much to remember what you've all been up to so I shall just wish you all well and hop you have a good day whatever you're doing.

Typical. I’ve put off doing the washing for 4 days because of the predicted rain/snow and nothing happened. Guess what, I did the washing today and is now raining and freezing out there.😡

Morning all, afternoon Pat, hope you get the weather your after!
Been AWOL due to extreme long work hours and much to do when home!!
Hope everyone is well, hope your arm is improving Fairy 😊
Joyce, hope yours and Lilyps gardens haven't been too battered by the weather!
Hosta, what are you doing encouraging Dove to buy a bloody banana plant.... Hope your coming over to move it every winter!! 😉
Best wishes LG, glad you have enjoyed your course 😊
Dove, glad you both got to mil safely, good luck with the shed clearing! X
Memory has failed me now 🤔
Major garden excitement here as I've had an outside tap fitted!! 😁 No more carrying the watering can to the bathroom when the water butt runs out or feeding the hose through the bathroom window!! The new tap is just near the greenhouse and is such a life changer when it comes to time!!!
Had a bit of a guilt trip yesterday as I dug up a salvia hot lips, hate them with a passion but it was a gift and the bees love it, compromised with the bees and they agreed that it was ok if I replaced it with lavender 😁 created a lot more room and opened up a previously unusable space.
I'm keen to get on as I have my brother and Papa Womble coming over for a slap up roast for father's Day 😁
Hope everyone has a lovely day whatever your up to.
