The rain has gone off. Jeez Louise - we really need an hour or so of decent rainfall to get everything happy.

    Try hanging out some washing

We had masses of rain this afternoon! Not as much as was expected but about an hour and a half of heavy thundery rain. I could almost hear everything saying yum yum !
only problem was a swallow decided to stay under the back door and he has now brought his Mrs!
Obelixx it’s really difficult to keep the slugs at bay,I haven’t found anything that works apart fromsome sheeps wool and at this time of year there is lots around. hope you rescued your hydrangea
Liro what is a holy well?
Punk hope you and Mrs P have a good weekend, I am sure the piggy bank can cope with giving mrs P a rest!
OH has had to drive up from Stansted after his 10.40flight was still there at 1,30!  Not a good travel experience for him whereas last week I had hassle free and punctual train!

I had a laugh about Hosta’s computer story. I had a similar experience with my mobile. Hubby complained that I wasn’t answering my phone when we were in town. As far as I was concerned, he hadn’t rung. Inspection by Hubby showed that there is a tiny button on one side which turns the phone to silent. Der!  Nobody told me that.

I’ve checked the rain gauge this morning - half a mil again. Yippee!
Im in trouble with my son - I don’t get his jokes. I must really be behind the times. 😫

    Oh Pat !  :)
I keep missing you in the mornings - I don't have much time first thing because of my physio exercises. I forgot to reply to your query about the wild fires here - mostly heather, yes, but the moorland grasses are so dry too. I just wish people weren't so thoughtles and careless with matches/campfires etc. Your hubby will know only too well about that  :/
Misty here, but it looks like it'll burn away. We're supposed to get the thundery showers later, but I'm hoping there'll be more rain than we got yesterday. All very weird - the current weather here....
Raisingirl - we had no washing left by Friday - we'd taken advantage of the sun all week  :D

    Hello Fairy and Pat  :)
Damp and muggy overnight here too and the forecast is for possible thundery showers ... However OH is determined to get on with painting the shed and will have a big sheet of plastic to hand to drape it in if it does rain ... we've been promised thundery showers for several days and yet they've missed us so far so we'll just carry on regardless.  :)

Morning Dove. I have some painting I could do as well - d'you think that would guarantee some heavy rain here later?  :D

Fairy ... perhaps if you attract the rain by doing some painting it'll leave it dry for us down here  ;)
