Hi @chicky ... I've got the lounger out in the shade under the ash tree ... just going upstairs to fetch my book and that'll be me sorted for the rest of the day.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Right, sprinkler has been moved, tea has been consumed, No 1 daughter has to go back into work after our natter, so I suppose I ought to avail myself of my new sunbed. What a splendid investment they were.
Someone on the Hosta Society's FB page has just posted this photo of a Hosta they received after ordering from " one of the most famous suppliers in the country"
Watch out folks! I've got my kaftan on! I've not worn it since the day last year when I fell and wrecked the Hesperis and broke my foot ... OH is looking at me very severely!

I love my kaftans . Keep you cool and hide a multitude of sins.
That's a lovely colour, Hosta - sunny but tasteful. Great water lilies too!
It's currently 28.1 in my garden, the highest temperature we've had, to my knowledge, since we moved here 12 years ago. And for the first time in those 12 years, I've got the hose out... up to now I've managed the watering using a can and the water butt, given a shady garden and a wet area of the country. Now I have to find a way to attach the hose to the kitchen tap and run it through the living room window, across the road and down the steps... or the veg will die, I think...
No watering until this evening, though. Next job is doing useful things with raspberries.
Lyn, if you graft your sock toes using kitchener stitch you don't get a seam. The grafting joins the front and back together with a row of "mock" stitches. Personally, I love knitting socks - you can make really funky patterns, and they make good presents too.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Bungalow looks lovely Hosta, we’ve painted ours much the same, it was white before, I never liked it.
