Just had a wander around and feeling quite shocked and overjoyed to see two buds on the hibiscus!!! Never had a flower since I bought it in flower a few years ago.

Pdoc - travelling to work would not be my idea of fun, hope your OH finds something nearer.

The shed is up apart from the roof (they sent the wrong parts!). Greenhouse to lean against shed has been delivered. Summerhouse base is concreted....roll on the weekend!

After the brief appearance this morning, there have been no more sightings of Mr and Mrs Ratty today and no more poison has been consumed.
Do we think they've gone to the great Ratty Rest Home in the sky?

Could be planning their next move, Hosta. :)

I'd rather hope they were planning their own demise

Pdoc ... I always think it's a good idea to go to interviews ... one doesn't have to accept the job when offered ... and if they really want you they may find a way to offer some flexibility about being actually 'in the office' all week.

I'm shattered ... I seem to have been dozing in front of the tennis ...

@LG_ Glad you found the exams ok when I did mine even the lecturer said that sometimes the questions can be a bit obscure, reading the feedback from examiners on one past paper (cant remember what now) even he said "well I would not have thought that was what they wanted"
AB, I definitely think that the hardest part of these exams is working out what they're actually after! Did you do Level 2? Theory and practical?

Hello all. Hope everyone is well. I've had a read back. And I agree with Dove about the interviews, punkdoc - always worth going. And I guess dealing with the travel is about whether this would be a stepping stone to something else. Not sustainable long-term but if a temporary measure, could be manageable. Not something one wants to get stuck with (though 2-3 hours a day is perfectly normal in London - I would consider anything up to an hour a short commute).

Oh gosh, I've forgotten everything I was going to write.

    Mind's gone completely blank.

    Think I'd better say goodnight!

Minus 7 and heavy frost this morning. Clear skies. Maybe it would have been better with cloud.

I gave up and ended up in bed at 8.30 last night.
My commute is 1 1/2 miles door to door.
    Devon.
