OH is back and has been helping me with the wires  :D  I've also got started on watering the pots and veg patch but have had to come indoors as the garden was invaded by a family of blackbirds who wanted to bathe in the pond and birdbath, and poke around for worms, but couldn't when I was disturbing them  :)

Hello again.   Sort of awake now and have been pottering and cuddling doggies.   Might be able to get some weeding done this pm as it's clearing up and sunning up.  Daily Politics first.   Always interesting.   Galileo anyone?

Pdoc - yes, you should take advantage of this place to vent/worry/think out loud and get comfort and perspective.   Same goes for all of us.

Busy - well done.   I hope you enjoy it all, especially having the family there.
You too Pat.  What's next?  Drawing, painting, more knitting?
Joyce - Have you got a way with the storms then?  No serious damage?
Dove - you wouldn't really buy a banana would you?

So pleased OH is away for the World Cup.  It's even made its way onto DP!

Obelixx, funny you asked that. I am feeling like I’d like to get the paintbrushes out again after a long break. The first problem is that there’s not much flowering at the moment - jonquils. Maybe autumn leaves. Will have a little wander after I finish  off the two cardigans.

    No serious damage Obelixx.
There are four weeks of football so maybe banishment to the golf course is an idea....

Oh crikey!  4 weeks and tennis and Tour de France too.   That'll be fun.   On its first day it passes about 15 to 20kms to the south of us and there will be all sorts of road closures and crowds.  The next day it passes about 12kms to the north before ending up in La Roche S Y, 18kms north.   I'm staying home and keeping my head down.

Go on @Dovefromabove, you know lovely OH would love a banana. Remember what they looked liked when you looked down inside those wonderful unfurling leaves as the sun was shining on them?? That's exactly the sort of thing you'd paint isn't it?
Go on , go on , go on.

We have Sky Joyce.  I get golf every day.   We have guests arriving on the 15th which will help keep me busy.

Yep.  News was on earlier.  I usually watch DP then turn over for the news.  Not today.
