I saw that Hosta. I feel the same way as you about it - but I held back from posting until recently as I didn't want to offend!  :dizzy:
I've been planting out some sweet peas into their places [at last] and generally pottering and ferdiddling around. Very pleasant....well, until I found more lily beetle offspring. Manky bl**dy things.
The garden is quite odd just now. I've only just finished deadheading some daffs, there's still crocus foliage around and the white dicentra looks glorious,  but the foxgloves and lilies are huge and look ready to burst into flower any moment. Nice though   :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I've been planting dahlias in the allotment  but needed a cup of tea.
    It's flippin' Freezin' over there. ( 18C ) I needed the warmth.
    Devon.
  • Oh the joys. The weather folks keep saying rain and we keep avoiding it. :)  Happy days.  Was awfy close earlier mind you.

Spent a few hours feeding the soil, raking and re-levelling my lawn area again  as well as hoeing weeds (or seeds I scattered, clueless as to what I was doing tbh) also done a spot of weeding around the perimeter.  Stopped close to my bird box to see if I could hear the baby great tits inside, but all you can hear in the garden at the moment is the ASBO sparrows.
Those tits must be due to pop out some time soon, if they spend any more time getting takeaway delivered to the box they'll never fit out the hole!  :)

Hosta - you do make me laugh!  :D
The sparrows make a right row here too TBG, but I rather like my little pairs of them. They don't mind me tootling around when they're at the feeder, or having a bath in the pond.  :)
We actually have rain now after all the false alarms of thunder and dark skies. It's enough to almost wet a baby's hand.... :/   :D

Another cuppa for me  then heading back down to The Allotment.
I've planted my "spare" dahlias. There were 67 of them.

The garden is steaming ... it's been coming down in stair rods ... you can come here for a sauna @Hostafan1

OH managed to get one coat on the shed and it was touch dry before the second downpour started, so fingers crossed ... it needs at least one more coat but is looking great  :)

Nice chat with son who is currently 'house-sitting' for friends on their houseboat on the Deben ... he says it's absolutely idyllic there at the moment, and his indoor cat is enjoying the entertainment put on by the swans, ducks, coots etc ... it's like having his own television programmes lol

Fairy, why are you painting Dove and what colour will she be?

Had a lovely trip out today.  Started out grey but then the sun came out and it was really hot.  The Dorothy Clive gardens were beautiful, have posted photos on the garden visit thread for those who are interested.  We then went on to David Austin where my friend bought two Claire Austin roses for her arch.  I resisted all temptation but came close to buying Shropshire Lad climber. Just don't know wher I'd put it.

Not too fussy about the colour ... within reason ... but vertical stripes would be good  ;)

Why - Dove Grey of course - what else....
Glad you had a nice day out. Will take a wee look at your photos later.   :)
Hurray - it's raining here. When have I ever had to say that!  It's quite steady, although not too heavy at the moment. Only trouble is - I'll wake up tomorrow and the grass will be a foot high
Don't you love it when there's leftovers that you can heat up, and some salad to go with it  that someone else has made  :p
