We consider ourselves to be very lucky we visited the Glasgow school before the first fire- such a shame. Not surprised at the arson theories the site must be worth a fortune to a developer.

The fact that my friend in Darwin, Australia, saw it on tv shows the international status of the building.

Oh it's just heartbreaking . Like Dove though, I've put together a final degree show and I don't think H&S crossed any of our minds for a moment. There's an intense, febrile atmosphere and accidents happen. This time around though, I can't imagine that people would not have thought about fire safety after last time. I don't get the arson-developers theory though - the place would still be a school of art it's not as if it was up for sale. I'm glad I saw the place years ago, but can't bear the thought of it being destroyed.

Sorry to hear about achey arms and hands - hope both ease.

    Revision ongoing...

@Fairygirl. You have my sympathies. The last time I bought a car was 11.7.89.
I've had vans ever since. I'd be lost if I had to buy a car now.( although I have told Hubby that he's to buy a soft top Mini Cooper when he stops working "up country")

    Thanks Joyce.
I know my dear late Mother would have said " self praise has no glory" but I'm rather pleased with it this year.

LG - hope all goes well for you - I meant to comment earlier but my brain is 'full' these days  :D
The studying and revision is a nightmare, but you've put a lot of work in and I'm sure it'll pay off. These things don't get any easier with age do they!
There's no chance that it [the art school] will ever be in the hands of a developer. Anyone trying that one on would get their ar*es 'well and truly felt' as we say here.  It's part of Glasgow and always will be.
We can't see over Glasgow from this house, but we could in the one nearby - on a clear day anyway.
Rain's gone off - I might get something done...

Lovely pix Hosta. Is there a couple of climbers on there?
What's annoying me about the cars is the misinformation. You contact them to ask about something, and you get told two different stories. I don't care how many s*dding gizmos and gadgets it has, and most basic cars have air bags, central locking, co-ordinating colour on their wing mirrors [how are those even considered as a special feature nowadays?] I just want a CD player and 4 wheel drive. You wouldn't think it would be so difficult.... :/
