    Good morning all  :) G'day Pat  :)
((Hugs)) for Fairy and all those having tough times. Safe journey Chicky.
I will get a pergola pic today. Shame it's overcast ... perhaps it'll brighten up in a bit ...

    Hi all.
So, maybe, just maybe, the world is a slightly safer place, this morning?

I hope so Pdoc ... I really do .... I am concerned that N. Korea is being rewarded for upping the ante and that will provide a precedent for others ... this is primarily a huge image building operation for both main protagonists ... but given that we are where we are, then we have to hope for the best (whilst retaining a healthy degree of skepticism).

Haven't seen any news but my default for politics and politicians is deep scepticism.

Cool, grey and wet here but calm.  Orange storm alerts in other parts of France and a noticeable number of aimlessly wandering Brits, Dutch and Germans poodling around wet roads at the various Olonnes yesterday as I drove to patchwork.   Tried my hand at hand quilting yesterday.  I think I'll stick to the machine.

I need to pot on some clems into their next size before they're ready for life in the ground and then I'm sewing - hemming curtains and other joyful stuff that needs doing.  Supposed to be sunnier tomorrow but I'll believe it when I see it as our forecasts have been utterly off recently.

All the best for tomorrow Chicky.   Other countries find all sorts of excuses for a day off.   France gets VE day, Ascension, Bastille/National Day, All Saints and Armistice but not Boxing Day.  Belgium doesn't have VE day but has its own national day on July 21st and Flanders and Wallonia have their own day plus public employees get the King's Feast on November 15th (Koningsdag/Fête du Roi).    I can't see the Brits giving each nation its own Saint's day or national holiday somehow.

Pat - hope you've warmed up.   Once we'd adopted her our Pusscat became an indoor cat for 3 or 4 years and stayed firmly upstairs before she had the confidence to go outside again but when we took her on holidays to the Charente she liked to go out and explore when the dogs weren't looking.

FG - I hope things perk up for you.   You too Pdoc and anyone else with worries, problems or health bovver.

    Morning all.
There is a juvenile thug of a grey squirrel wreaking havoc with the pots on the patio.
Obelixx, you are not having to contend with a drought this year. Hope the weather improves for you and also for BL and her Open day.

Hmmm ... interesting that my phone autocorrected scepticism to skepticism ....  :/
in my book a skep is for bees or potatoes ...

American dictionary ?   This site seems to have one too.

Joyce - not complaining about rain at all as I have lots of indoor jobs to get on with.  Just hope we get some sun in July for Possum and visitors.  A sunny 24/6 would be good too as I have garden visits with the club.
