The poor postie said he's had enough of trudging round in this heat.  He looked exhausted.

My socks pattern is only on 4 needles, but very explicit, can’t go wrong.

No sock knitting here.  I buy light cotton for spring and autumn and proper ski socks for winter cos I wear them for walkies and don't want any rubbing.    Bare foot and sandals or flip flops at the mo.  I have just checked the forecast to see if we're still getting violent storms on Sunday and they now reckon we'll get to 40+ on Saturday and have a light dribble early on Monday morning.

Jolly hot here already and set to get more so.   I've done my weekly shop and can now go and get mucky but I'm going to stay out of the sun for the next couple of hours and do some indoor jobs while I ponder a potting bench in the shade somewhere.   Babies to pot on and seeds to sow.

Don’t fancy your hot weather Obelixx. Not that I’m enjoying the freezing weather we are experiencing.

Coal face duties done for the day.
It's funny how many folk are saying:
" I think it's a bit hot, but when we complained about the heat this time last year, it rained non stop for 8 months, so we'd better not complain"

Hi @Hostafan1 :)    Tell your fellow West country residents that we're willing to come your way and activate the fine weather switch any time they send for us   B)

I'm just wondering where to place the sprinkler when I get changed and go outside.

It's plants that are showing their discomfort Hosta, as they are accustomed to a west coast supply of water
I don't have many drought tolerant ones.
