    Evening all.
Missed the pete green doc. fg., I much admire him as a musician.
OH was neither use nor ornament in the garden today, but we did have some fun, and it was another truly beautiful day.
Now we are not going away, we are trying to decide on something to do, on my big day next week.

What the h*ck kind of animal are they keeping in that field?! :o
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Oh dear, LilyP!  That's horrid.  Presumably you have the opportunity to put in an objection?  Are there neighbours you can call on to object too?

But good news, BL, that your family have finally seen sense and are finally letting you sell your house in France.   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Flying visit as have to catch a train.  Bham was great - littlest Chicklet on great form.  Went for lunch by the canals in Town centre and then had a wander round campus .....skies were very blue 💙💙💙

Big changes for Lizzie coming up - very exciting.  We know you’ve wanted this for a long, long time, so glad it is finally allowed to happen.

LilyP - got everything crossed that the planners see sense and retain that beautiful landscape.

DD - looks like a fabulous day - well done 👍🏻.  Hope Yvie enjoyed her icecream 🍦 and that the pdocs planning for the big day came up with something to look forward to.

Hope Fairy’s arm is not too sore today, and fingers crossed for a simple and not too pricey fix for the car tomorrow.

Morning all! I worked yesterday to cover for another manager. 10 hours (including travel) and after the second time of picking one frail lady up off the ground I knew I was going to ache today. Good job she was light!

I'm sure I can still smell vomit (bus ride - Not my vomit I hasten to add) and my blood pressure still sky high because the care home sent the poor lady on an unassisted day trip with no

    - money
    - food
    - water
    - change of clothes or incontinence pads
    - sunscreen
    - support staff even though she clearly needed it
    - any form of mobility aid

I am, in a way, grateful I got the job as most of the other managers wouldn't have been able to manage physically and so it would have been an ambulance job which would have been hugely distressing.

We've the parents hound staying with us this week; so poor Reggie has competition for my attention. I think it calls as a good excuse of being relaxed all evening.

    Have a good week everyone!

Morning all and welcome home flumpy.
BL, I'm so glad you're able to sort out the housing. the whole " can't sell the house without the kids' permission" law seems baffling. I'm glad it's resolved. I hope the shift to more time in England and less in France works out for you.  ( ps, glad you can now see my photos , such as they are )
I was so tired when I came in last night. Less than 4 hours sleep then a 12 hour day. I fed spikey ( priorities eh? ) then had a shower and whizzed through the Chelsea programme and went to bed. Couldn't even face eating anything.
Slept well and the sprinkler is now on in the Hosta tunnel and I'm hoping to get the grass cut today.
Onwards and upwards one and all.
    Devon.

    Morning all.

Clari that sounds heartbreaking. Did the lady manage to have a good trip with your assistance or was it still traumatic?

LP that must have been a shock. Hope you can find a course of action.

Glad you had a lovely weekend, Chicky :-). When are you off to Holland?

BL, wow - all change for you! As others have said, I know how much you have been wanting this to happen so I am really pleased for you - though it does all seem to be happening very suddenly and quickly!

And hello everyone else too! Flumpy, have you bookmarked the thread? Click on the little star toward the top right. Then you can always find it by going to 'My bookmarks'. As there's a new thread each month you'll need to un-bookmark this one in June and bookmark the new one.
