Well, one thing for sure, Dove and lovely OH have a fair tail wind behind them. It looks lovely outside, but that Easterly wind is chillier than I like. I've given up trying to make the garden look perfect for their arrival. I'll just have to do as it is. Cuppa then I'm going into the tunnel to repot my new paeonias into bigger pots until homes can be found for them.
Hosta’s right, a slight breeze and it’s a bit chilly, I’m sure by this afters it will be fine. nice working weather, I’ve just come in for breakfast, just get carried away!
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
ditto @Lyn too hot for overalls and boots so I've ocme in to change and thought I'd have a quick cuppa . Breeze seems to be dropping , or is it that I'm working sooooooooooo hard? ha ha.
Same here! Down to a strappy vest now.😀 and jeans, but I am thinking I will soon change to a skirt, how about you😀
ist it amazing how the things we thought we had lost, are showing now, bit late but there still, Natures hard.
As you know, I've very open minded , but , for me, a skirt is a wee bit of a step too far. Maybe shorts later?? I was watering stuff beside the tunnel and thinking of dumping the lot until I saw some tiny shoots on a few penstemon. I've given everything a good drink and I'll give them another fortnight .
I put on an old pair of OH's shorts and a strappy top but have had to add a polo shirt for now cos of the breeze. The Atlantic needs to warm up a bit more!

I have been and turfed squashes and corn and toms out of the polyT and onto the strangely positioned concrete slab, thus clearing all one side of the tunnel for OH to weed and then rotavate so we can plant the toms and melon and cucamelon in there. Happy to report I now have a few eryngium and 8 baptisias but still only 2 California poppies and 3 or 4 monarda. Cinnamon basil looking good tho and Thai basil coming thru too.
Went to water the mints, hostas and acers in pots on the terrace and found that when chappy came to spray the annex roof against moss some drifted onto the mints - Moroccan, ginger, strawberry and another. Looking very sorry for themselves. They've had a pep talk.
Now to prime that wardrobe which should have dried after being dusted over with a damp cloth and then more rusty stuff but first, coffee.
