Hiya punkdoc. I've been busy too , honest. I've potted on some tomatoes, removed the colocasia from the dining table into the polytunnel and repotted it and watered the strawberries prior to mulching.
Sorry, I need a moan, please don't read my whinging, if it is likely to put a dampener on your day. Have just cancelled birthday trip to Gleneagles, just not up to the travel. So now that is 2 major birthday meals cancelled. 1 trip to Japan cancelled 1 trip to Alaska this summer deposit lost.
I am sure i have a lot to be grateful for, but I am struggling to see what, at the moment.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Moan away Punkdoc we are here for you- you must have listened to thousands in your time as a practitioner. It's good that you still make plans even if you have to change them. Perhaps keep the plans more local for a while till you can build up again.
Morning punkdoc. Moan away - all those trips cancelled must be very frustrating. As AB says, it's good to still make plans, even if they have to be more local for a while. And now you've listed them, try not to think of them en masse too much.
Just heard about the death of Beth Chatto. I'm reading her Garden notebook at the moment, so am a bit involved in her world (well, her world of the late 80s anyway) - it feels like more of a personal loss than it would otherwise. She was 94.
Having a lovely morning clearing stuff off the patio and tidying up those piles of bits & pieces that get plonked in a corner and forgotten about. Hiring the pressure washer tomorrow - I guess no one has a Karcher to help me with my previous question. For some reason I had it in my mind that loads of people did! So am just going to keep my fingers crossed that I haven't done a silly thing.
Scrambled eggs on toast for lunch and then back outside. See you all later.

Beautiful morning here. Apparently I wasn't the only one to think so - met this family while I was out with the dogs (!!) this morning
In case you can't really see in my dodgy phone pic - they are red deer. Always around here I think but don't often see them and they didn't run - just watched us go by.
Hope you get some sunshine Pdoc - it doesn't cure but it always seems to help.

Afternoon all, Special hug for P'doc. I'm sorry about all those cancelled trips. Luckily I've lost my taste for travelling long distances (to be honest I'm more excited about a 3 day garden trip to Devon that 3 weeks in Turkey - don't tell hubby). However, I can imagine how horrible it must be if you were really looking forward to travellling. Hope you feel better soon.
Glad you enjoyed your trip to gay Paree Chicky, that flower market looks beautiful.
Finished planting up my pots this morning and I'm off on a bluebell walk in around 20 mins with a friend. Plan on spending the rest of the day on a sunlounger in the garden. It's a beautiful day out there and I can't do much more gardening till the green bin is emptied tomorrow. I've been fancying ice-cream all day so I might just pop and get some magnums on the way home.

Been up since 6 so I thought I'd said it already.
