Hi folks, been busy in the garden all day today.  Not too hot and no rain.  Have managed to plant up 10 pots (just another 10 to go).  Got some more annuals into the garden and planted an azalea.  Also collected a load of potting compost from Ashwoods.
Now I've just had a nice hot shower and a takeaway and am chilling with a glass of wine.  Perfect weekend so far.  Haven't checked the weather for tomorrow so not sure what I'll be up to.  Have a good evening everyone.

Evening all. You've all been very busy with planting and arranging etc - well, apart from Dove who's been bone idle as usual.... :D;)
Had a lovely day on the hill [Stuchd an Lochan -  one of my favourites]  and even managed to do my exercises while I was up there. I did have to time it so that no one appeared out the blue - might have got some strange looks.... :D
It looks to have been warm here, 16 degrees when I got back, although there was a big bank of menacing clouds, as I neared home. They've just opened and we've had a little downpour.
Rock's looking grand Hosta. You must be very pleased with it  :)
Wonder if I could get a daughter to dig  holes for me doc....I expect not  :/
Showered and had a yogurt and a cuppa. I'll have a look round here before I get daughter and some shopping at 9pm.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Evening! Hope you are all ok.
Did a garden centre trip with my little neice - she dropped a plant at the tills and cried. Love her - we still aren’t quite sure what the tears were all about, but I think the gardening gene must be in there somewhere.
    Anyone watching Eurovision?? ...

No!   Programme on the RA on Beeb 2 - still trying to ejumacate myself.  Watched a thing about Monet and the water lilies the other night.  Still find them very dull but the Clemenceau chappy was from just up the road so a bit of interest.

Managed to get a bit mucky this pm sanding wardrobe side panels again and dosing them with smelly products then doing rust patinating treatments on a parasol stand and an obelisk.

Well done FG for doing your hill in one piece.  Any pics?

I like the hostas round your rocks Hosta.   Pdoc - try head Gardener rather than senior management.  It'll feel better.   Dove - you gearing down for your hols?

Back from taxi service and getting my shopping. All in a day's work and all that  ;)
I'm always amazed at how much sanding/prepping etc you do Obelixx. Pix will appear tomorrow - I'll do them after I take daughter back to work for 7am.  :s
No chance of Eurob*ll*cks here AuntyR! Catching Friday Night Dinner before I go to bed. Love it.
Here's a pic to keep you going Obelixx - the lovely little lochan and the summit

It saves a lot of time later on FG if you get the sanding and filling phase done well.   Then I only need one coat of primer and a couple of top coats and no further messing or re-doing.

    Lovely pic.  Thanks.

Off to top a carrot cake with Philly icing and then bed for me too.

    Blimey.

Nipped down to the neighbours who live in the barn bellow us, for a drink at 5pm and just rolled in now, lucky it is only 100 yards.

    Nice hill fairy.

Lovely hill, FG. And lovely rocks (and hostas), Hosta.

Currently sitting on a busy but chilled and good natured train having been to a party in Brighton. A 50th. I should be planning something for mine but can't really be bothered.

It was piddling down most of the day there and am assuming it was probably the same at home, so wouldn't have got much gardening done anyway.

Those of you with Karcher pressure washers - are they heavy? ie: is getting it from the library to the bus stop and home on the bus going to be a problem, do you think? I've got one reserved for the day on Tuesday.

Hope you're fully recovered from your 'trip', Joyce.
