Ouch for Joyce’s tumble - hope things are not too sore this morning
Love a bluebell wood, and that one sounds amazing Nigel.
Tooth extraction not high on my list of how to enjoy a day off Wonky 😮
Acer now behind bars to recuperate - deer hadn’t touched it for 5 years, so I had wrongly thought it unappetising - hoping it will find the resources to grow some new leaves from somewhere. Talk at garden club last night on hydrangeas ....so many beauties to discover - my wish list has expanded 🤭
and weekend end trip to Paris is on despite the French strike ....although doubtful if the train to Giverney will run .....in which case we’ll just have to amuse ourselves some other way on Sunday. Maybe a sneaky visit to the Orsay, but we shall see.
But two more days of work to get through first - best get out there 🏃♀️
Morning all hope you got a decent night Joyce Wonky you too, are you getting an implant? i love bluebell woods would you believe the best ones around here are under the motorway! Pat I think the effects you feel will be from the pneumonia jab, my oh felt grim chicky have a lovely weekend, dove are you getting packed up? i think my ear has cleared! Only taken 5 weeks! oh not gone to golf too cold, please can we have some of your warmth

Morning all. I've given in and put the heating on to take the chill off. Have I ever said " I HATE BEING COLD"? Another shower of rain as I got up but the forecast is half decent for the day ahead. Hubby wants to wash the windows before VIP guests arrive A WEEK TODAY!!!!
Hosta ... tell him he'll make us feel guilty!!! No one should have to wash windows because we're visiting (except perhaps my son 'cos his cat licks them )
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Gosh Dove, that's a bit premature... though maybe you can look at the garden and assess where there are gaps you could squeeze more treasures in, for next Spring...
Good news about the ear, LilyP! Hope you're feeling OK, Joyce, Wonky and Clari.
Well, I feel quite privileged to have 11C this morning. The central heating is on a room thermostat, and comes on automatically (during the day only) if the temperature falls below 17. It's currently 18.7 inside, thanks to the stone walls which have soaked up the heat from last week.
We're off to the Lake District tomorrow, for a weekend away with the choir which sings in Finnish, and a concert in Ings on Sunday afternoon. We'll be staying in a big self-catering house in Windermere, so I need to get cooking... we have a "bring & share" meal tomorrow evening. Should be fun, I think.
We have lovely scaffolding to admire from the front windows, but still no roofer...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Morning all. Had a lazy lie in and got up to blue sky and sun. The breeze is still chilly. @Liri, are you due to visit the island soon? LilyP, glad your ear problem has finally cleared up.

Off to get my renal function results this morning. If it's bad news , could be having kidneys on toast for dinner.
