Hey everyone. Thinking of all those with injuries, illness or worries. What a bunch we are! I had a couple of hard days at work, a run of sad times for patients/relatives, so I am uplifted today to see my Rhododendrons bursting into bloom (will put pics on garden gallery) and that my Lemon Verbena has indeed survived the Winter!
@Joyce21 - OH is going to the cottage for a fortnight in July - I'm going for 5 days at the end. Not been in July for a while; the Grass of Parnassus should be open...
Fingers crossed, Punkdoc!
That's a lovely healthy lemon verbena, AuntyRach.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Afternoon all, Been running errands for mum this morning and off to cinema this afternoon to see The Post. No gardening today after wielding the pickaxe yesterday I'm in no fit state so letting aches and pains subside. Hope things go well P'doc. Glad the ear has improved Liri and hope you enjoy your trip to the Lake District. Love Paris Chicky hope you have a lovely time.
Feeling wrecked today. Managed to get both felines shut in before bedtime and release a live mouse from under the coat stand only to find Minstrel had left a live mouse hiding behind the wardrobe on the landing as a reserve. Woken up around 1am by all the kerfuffle. Tried and failed to rescue it. Found myself at 2:30am on my knees with cramping thighs trying to get it out from under some drawers but it wasn't having any. OH got up at 4am to let her out thru the bathroom window and Cosmos carried on checking under our bed.............
Came downstairs to find Rasta waiting patiently for another mouse hiding under the sideboard in the hall. Both dogs now confined to living room to allow mouse to escape thru front door.
On the up side, the toms have not suffered from being left uncovered and we now have 3 sweet potatoes shooting under a cold frame. Must cover them all tonight tho as 5C expected at 5am. There are now 6 baptisia babies and 4 eryngium. Not a lot else in the flower line.
Enjoy the Lakes Liri. My favourite place in England. Hills and water are magic.
Hope everyone's having a good day and that you're not too tender today Joyce.
