Our magnolia is going over LP.  Last year it produced a set of lovely flowers on just one branch and a few scrappy blooms on the rest of the tree.  I'd given it a whole bag of ericaceous compost and watered it regularly and fed it after seeing the sorry state it was in when we arrived in October 2016.

This year I gave it 6 bags of ericaceous compost and a feed and the entire tree flowered beautifully.   It's only small still but seems to be responding to TLC.

The two wisterias are out in full now and glorious.  I'll take a pic tomorrow.

Hi hope your stress levels have gone down now Pat and your daughter and grandson managed a talk last night about his new job. Today our temp was 30c and tomorrow again with a chance of 3mm of rain, i wont be keeping my fingers crossed. I have been busy cleaning the garage out today as our MG is having new door rubbers fitted by the guys from the MG car club, not a job I can do myself. Our grandaughter and boyfriend are moving out at the end of the month and going into a flat, they have been us for 6 months now,so our little house will heave a relief.

    Hello, Mayflowers!

Pat, your daughter deserves a medal.  You must be very proud of her.

Obelixx - that plant haul sounds excellent.  Could your iris be I.ensata?  Japanese or water iris, used to be Iris kaempferi.  Beautiful flowers.

Glad everyone's teeth are ok, Cedric included.   ;)

Had my 2nd tenor horn lesson today.  Sounds increasingly like a musical instrument (and less like a sick cow, I'm happy to say) - but my lips are still tingling.  Cheaper than fillers for producing a "trout pout".   :D

    Hi everyone on May Forkers!
Time has run away tonight ... will choose a podcast for bedtime and head up I think (Stephen Fry probably).
    Sleep well all.

Love the idea of a trout pout Liri  :p Glad you’re having fun with the T-horn.

Glad Hosta’s girls have returned - what an adventure they’ve had.

Back from swimming 🏊‍♀️ - good for me, but am now completely shattered  :s

well it seems working a 12 1/2 hour shift isn't enough to guarantee a good night sleep.
