Yes, be careful.  I said that too so I wouldn't have to water the garlic and dampen the next bed to be weeded............

Hi all I thought we was doing well with 3mm of rain today but seems like others get a lot more. If you have rain to spare please send this way.i went for chest xrays and blood tests this morning as I have lost 10kgs since Xmas but the Doc phones me tonight to say my thyroid is out and I now have to lower my tablets and then test again in July. I told him I dontwant to pick up tomuch weight before August as Ihave just bought my wedding outfit for grandaughter's wedding. The weather is colder here now as we are getting into winter. Hope you found the energy to cook Pdoc.

Glad you found a good film to pass the time Pdoc  :)

I find it hard to stay awake during a film, even during the day ... I blame my thyroid  ;)

No rain here Glenys ... all around us but none in Norfolk ...

No rain here either, but them I'm in Norfolk! I hope your lovely OH feels better soon, Dove.

Solicitor visit went well, she's nice, used the same one for buying this cottage. Then we went to Norwich to pick up glasses for OH from Specsavers and buy him a black tie for the concert in Ely Cathedral in July. Had lunch at The Lamb, in the city centre, food was good. Bought strawberries in the market for this evening but will have them without cream.

Going back to France tomorrow. There's been a lot of rain in Dordogne. Been colder there than here. I will be back to attacking the weeds again.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Evening all.
Glad it went well BL. I hate to say it, but - can you send some of your rain to us here in Scotland? Imagine having to say that .... :D
As Joyce says - another hot day. Not as hot as yesterday, but still high teens. Breezy too, so perfect for  me. Pity I had to work. Ideal for getting the washing dry!
Hope no one has suffered with the flooding. Weather's very upside down just now.  :/
Mobile phones - complete pain in the a**e as far as I'm concerned.
Did your painter man get plenty done Joyce? Perfect weather for it   :)

Re Mobile phone they can be useful but when I had one for work I turned it off evenings & weekends. Interestingly Paul Merton on have I got news for you the other week said he has no mobile or computer &  so does not have email or use the internet at all. Maybe a bit extreme these days, but as he put it "I am just like nearly every one else was 20 years ago, but I am here & I am talking to you all now without a problem"

The man talks sense A.Boy  ;)
I could probably live quite happily without one, but as my girls live with me, it's very useful sometimes. Especially when the older one is at work and I can ask her to get me some shopping!  :D

@FG, weather has been ideal for getting the walls done. Painter was working in the shade at the back today so was a happy chap.  Will be finished tomorrow.
BL, only about three weeks now until your Open Day. hope there aren't too many weeds on your return.

At a BBQ 3 years ago - annual reunion of old IT work friends from the 80s - I was told I was "so last century" - because I have basic features on mobile phone to use as a phone - no tablet/iPhone/internet/instagram/twitter.  I have a photo of them all looking at screens and not talking.  Hadn't seen some for 20+years, hadn't seen most for 12 months so, in theory, lots of catching up to do but very little conversation.  Progress?

Mine is for emergencies.  At home there's a proper phone and email.  Otherwise I'm busy getting dirty in the garden or up a stepladder painting or out somewhere doing something else and don't want bothering.

It has been cool today and I've spent a lot of time drying damp felines and canines who insist on going out to see if it's still raining.    Yes.    Grump.
