    Morning all.
I'm with @fidgetbones, these folk want fines, or at least a bill sent to them for dealing with the fire, I'd add to that mountain rescue and lifeboats. If you've taken all reasonable precautions, fine, but if you're just an eejit, whack a huge bill at them.
I just worked out Hubby had the same amount of sleep last night as I've had the last 2 nights put together. ggrrrr.
    Another day of mulching ahead.
    Devon.

I have nothing against either of them and I wish them all the luck in the world ( as any other newlyweds) but I've not heard one single person talk about " the royal wedding" in either excited, or dismissive terms.
Is this media thing completely over the top or has it just passed by the good folk of Devon?

Hosta, as far as I'm concerned it's completely over the top.

I am not overwhelmed by it(the royal wedding) either. I am more excited by growing the flowers for the neighbours daughter who is getting married in September.  I feel quite sorry for the bride in a way, her extended family (apart from  her parents) appear to be horrendous.   The sort of family where, if you won the lottery, you would go anonymous and quietly disappear.  You can pick your friends but not your family.

What sort of idiot managed to upset the lifeboat crew of Whitby over a couple of joke mugs ?. More nudity is displayed on beaches every day of the year. Going through private messages in a disciplinary hearing is beyond the pale.
All I can say is, Don't venture into the sea around Whitby. They are a lifeboat crew short.

I agree Fidget ... disgraceful.  These men are heroes
As someone who used to work in Child Protection, the person making that decision has no understanding of real Safeguarding and no common sense at all.

Hosta, the reason Devon isn't excited about The Wedding is that it pales into insignificance compared with the county's eagerness to greet us as we pass through and spend a night at The Best Little B&B in The World  <3

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

And those preparations are on the same scale as that minor event in Windsor. <3

The bloke who lit the fire is the land owner himself and decided to burn off a bit. (Same as last time). Thankfully, Hubby just arrived home. Decision was made by the powers that be, that it would be too hard for the fire fighters to find their way in the dark. Just mountainous bush tracks in the dark don’t bode well for the trucks.
We might not answer the phone or pager tomorrow.

BTW, not really interested in “The Wedding” although the TV is full of it. I wish them well, but that’s about it.
