Fairy, whoever thought we would be wanting rain up here?
Looking at the sky there might be a very feeble chance of a few drops.

I know! Lovely for all the people who enjoy it - it makes you feel good. It's been a bit too hot for me, but that's just me!  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Hi folks, finally back home, just had a walk around the garden and I can't believe how much everything has grown in just 4 days, it's bizarre.  I'm going to have to get out there and tie up roses as I can't walk between the two obelisks up to the pond.  The garden must have really enjoyed the rain.

A bit of rain makes a huge difference Yvie. There's no substitute for it, to make the garden fresh and lush.   :)

Yesterday the estate agent who sold us this place was passing nearby and did a wee detour to pop in and see how we're getting on with changes and improvements and living here in general.   Nice chap.   In Belgium, you have to train to be an estate agent at college and they coordinate all the energy tests as well as noting meter readings on the day of handover and attending the notaire's office for the signing of the contracts and handover of keys.   Same sort of thing in France I reckon as similar services here.

We have had a very pleasant afternoon starting with lunch at the place that does serious Charolais burgers and the best chips ever then a visit to see horses.    Huge establishment with separate buildings for different kinds of horses and carriages and the training manèges and lots of lovely roses growing up the walls plus lawns, trees, and a fancy Husqvarna robot chomping grass.   Saw a display and explanation of the whys and wherefores of dressage with a young horse doing his first ever demo then a change of horse and rider for voltige (acrobatics and vaulting on a moving horse) and finally a hilarious demo with 4 ponies going from very small to small and all doing different things including one determined to misbehave when he thought the trainer wasn't  looking, but,of course, she was.   Hilarious.

Shower room walls almost done.  Next job is all the tiling in the shower and on the floor and then the plumbers and leccyman can come and do their thing.   Given the sudden appearance of builders with no advance warning I expect we may have a long wait till the tiler has a slot for us.   Bums!

Been for a walk to check my babies in the PT and the first of the cornflowers is showing thru.   Only sowed them 3 days ago so well impressed and very excited.

Pdoc - I keep meaning to sow nicotiana for some pong.  Are they quick too?

Evening all 😊 heck of a storm last night so less muggy today thank goodness! Dove and lovely OH have just been to collect her pants that I babysat whilst they were on holiday, she maybe will need the roof down in the car as they grew a fair amount since she last saw them!
Dove brought me a gorgeous mug from a local potter in Cornwall called Kevin Warren, a real two handed mug! 😁 I can see it going well with a purple dressing gown! 😉
Will catch up at the weekend, dinner and housework to do now, have a lovely evening all 😊
