I'm sure some folk leave their brains at home so they can have a holiday too.
You're assuming they have one to start with  :D
I'd hate that Obelixx. We rely very heavily on tourism in Scotland, but you couldn't pay me to live around Loch Lomond or any other hotspot [Fort Bill is a prime example] beacuse of the 'deluge' at holiday times.
'The midge' is our only real defence ...  :D
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Ditto , I'm so glad we bought a house 10 miles inland from the coast.
At the weekend we deliver to folk who live in holiday hotspots simply because they can't leave their own homes because of the traffic, or, even worse, coming home to find someone else's car parked on their drive. Yes, Really!!

I can well believe it Hosta. As I keep saying - people are a***holes.
I'm off out to cut the hedge before it takes over the world. Not sure how well the arm will cope with that though!

@Hostafan1, I was not aware of what you said about Ricin, although it does make sense.
Certainly those of mine that don't flower, do seem to grow taller.
Better luck tomorrow Fg., will look forward to the pictures.

I’ll hopefully catch up tomorrow. Snuggled on the electric blanket and about to read some more of my book.
we’ve been having minus temps each morning lately and it’s getting dark early. Doesn’t make for long happy days (and yes I realise you all know about that, but it takes a while for me to get used to it).
    night all.

Hello folks B)   We are home B)  @Hostafan1   as you know we were intending to stop off at a foodie friend's place in Wiltshire on the way home from Cornwall ... however we got a text from her OH whilst en route to tell us she'd spent the night in hospital with chest pains and breathing problems :o  so we sent our best wishes and drove on past her place without stopping.

As it turned out the traffic was quite slow so we would only have been able to stop for a short while ... but it wasn't as slow as the traffic travelling in the opposite direction ... it was solid for mile after mile after mile ... we stopped overnight at a quirky but very pleasant little hotel near Bicester, were well fed and slept like logs and after a full English we had a good journey the rest of the way home. The garden has been well attended to and we have our first courgette, not to mention lettuces and radishes read to pick for our supper.

The holiday was the best one ever!!! 8- Starting off, of course, with the Best Little B&B in Britain  ;)  <3  and then on to a gorgeous little cottage right down by the harbour so no hill climbs to bu$$er my knee ... the weather was amazing ... I used this http://www.boots.com/piz-buin/piz-buin-1-day-long as a body lotion in the morning and have a lovely golden glow and even OH, who smothers his pale complexion
in Factor 50 is a fetching shade of deep cream
    luv

We ate out for almost every meal ... breakfasting on kippers and very good coffee on a balcony overlooking the sunlit harbour on Sunday was just heaven ... lots of other lovely meals and several pasties too of course, plus ice creams etc etc etc  .... we'll be booking the same again for next year D I'll post some photos later when I've downloaded them.

Now to find out what you've all been up to .......

Have just heard that Wiltshire friend is back home with antibiotics and a reprimand from doctors for overdoing the hauling of logs which has seems to have caused a 'rub on the lung' ... never heard of that ... perhaps @punkdoc can explain?

Welcome home, @Dovefromabove. Glad you had a fab holiday.
That sounds like total nonsense to me, a rub on the lung can occur with a chest infection, but hauling logs might pull a muscle, but nothing else.
