I love my phone and never turn it off  :). Still find plenty of time for real life chatting too.  Don’t think I will ever run out of words  :o. Mr C is nodding his head wryly  ;)

I think my phone is in the kitchen somewhere. I take it out if I go somewhere, but more as an emergency contact rather than for chatting on. I can't do texts.
We are due rain, I hope for plenty as the clay has set like concrete and I need to get a load of dahlias and gladioli planted. The wind seems to be getting up.

most annoyingly today I got absolutely soaked in London on my way to a meeting - and I mean leaving-puddles-where-I-walked soaked. Whereas here at home, where I could do with some rain to fill the rain barrels and get the infant veg moving a bit - barely damp.  :/

My phone is used mostly for communicating with my children - they use WhatsApp for sending us free photos and videos of our grandchildren.  And a few times it's been useful in an emergency - like when my car broke down in the middle of nowhere in Northumberland.  (Though the AA were a bit of a dead loss on that occasion.  I knew exactly where I was, the number of the A-road, how far away the nearest town was, etc, but that wasn't enough, apparently.  "What can you see out of the car windows?"  "The lay-by I've stopped in, and loads of trees..."  Fortunately the local garage man they sent out had a bit more common sense.   :) )
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

This weekend I used my phone for translating menus and road signs, giving me directions (on foot, on bikes and in the car), taking photos, sending said photos to the chicklets, receiving updates from chicklets on their general wellbeing (its exam time  :o ), listening to the archers, giving me a potted history of every village we visited, finding Mr C when he went wandering 😜, and checking the weather forecasts (compulsively, every 10 minutes....its one of my weaknesses).  And all that fit into my pocket.  Whats not to like, its nothing short of miraculous  o:)

    How are your thighs today?
That sounds a bit 'ooh, err Matron'...although not as dubious as Hosta's comment about lady gardens.... :D
I only do texts - don't like speaking on phones!

I told you not to wear the leather chaps chicky..... :D
I know that feeling well...although mine is more of a  'oh god, please let me move my legs normally' type of walk.... ;)

I'm off to bed now - night all ...

We had some rain overnight - Hubby heard it. I Measured the raingauge this morning - half a mil. 😡 fat lot of good that will do for the garden.

It’s wonderful to read how much you use the phone Chicky. I mostly turn mine off, but have started to take it outside when I’m in the garden in case I have a fall. Very comforting.

We are trying to keep warm in the house, but we are going through all the wood quickly. The trouble is that my Dr wants me to exercise more 🙄 but I don’t really fancy spending much time outside. SO, I asked Hubby to bring the aero walker back up from the shed where it’s been gathering dust since we came back from Melbourne years ago. I’ve had a few goes, but don’t find it very enjoyable. However, needs must. A little bit at a time until I get comfortable with it. 😏

    sleep well all.

When it comes to phones... well I'm using mine right now to chat to you all!

I use the camera function on an old phone to act as a security camera so that I can watch the dogs via an app / internet / my new phone while I'm at work to make sure they are okay.
I do most of my banking on my phone, have ordered my shopping on it when I've been too I'll to get to Tesco, brought an emergency gift from Amazon when I've realised I forgot someone's birthday was coming up, I send my family photo of what we're doing (admittedly normally of the dog) as we don't live locally to meet face to face.

I even used my phone to "face time" an elderly clients grand daughter so that she could be introduced to her very new and squishy great granddaughter.

    Powerful things are these phones.
I do miss the snake game my old Nokia had though.

right; must get up my phone has just reminded me that I need to walk 3.6 miles today and drink more fluids as I was under target yesterday.

    Have a great day everyone.
