Morning all, sounds like everyone has a busy day.
Hope the tree planting goes well Clari
Lots of cuddling for you Busy
Hubby always does our holiday planning Chicky, I just turn up, if it was left to me I'd stay at home in the garden.
Obelixx, Hubby used to be a terrible snorer but after his heart bi-pass he lost quite a bit of weight and the snoring has stopped. Not a quick cure though.
I'm at Secondborn on third day of nanna duty.  It's a beautiful day so suspect once breakfast is over we'll be out and about.
Hope everyone has a lovely day.

    Morning all.
Clari, did you get a shiny new spade to plant the tree?
Liri, the park volunteers are doing a sterling job.
Busy, enjoy seeing the grandchildren. It's nice that they are not too far away for you to see on a regular basis.
Chap will be coming to cut the grass this morning.

Did you get to plant the tree, Clari? What kind is it?

Chicky you are a whirlwind of travel! Have a wonderful time cycling - will there be pictures :)?

Woke up with the start of a migraine this morning but had to clear round the piano for the tuner man to come. He's been and gone, the migraine pills  are talking effect and that's on its way too, finally. Leaves me feeling a bit wiped out for a while even once the pain has stopped.

Am hoping to get to a plant sale nearby tomorrow. It's a yearly event, in someone's back garden, all proceeds to charity and is apparently renowned locally but I've never made it. I don't actually need any plants really, but... well, you know how it is.

Liri that ferny bank is lovely.  Do you have a watertight roof yet? Hope so, you've waited a long time.

Sunny here but with a surprisingly chilly wind. In other words, perfect for gardening. I'm in love with my garden at the moment. It's not without its problems, gaps and "I wonder if that was the right thing to do"s, but oh, the joy of it all.

Pat, I hope you're feeling better after your jabs and trip.

Hi LG. Slowly, slowly does it. I’ve certainly felt better than this, but I’m feeling less uncomfortable than I was. 🤪

LG sorry I have not been keeping up with all the post so much so was not able to warn you about using the Karcher. Don't get me wrong I have one & they are great, but having used mine for most of a day last week my hands & wrists are still recovering  from the vibrations even now. Also they are very noisy I always wear ear defenders when I use mine.

Did anyone else listen to R4 the life scientific this week ? very interesting about  how plants regulate flowering at the genetic & cellular level. Well worth 1/2 of your time.

VIP visitors have just left ;)
I did try to persuade them to stop in on their way home, but no.
I ought to get out and do some gardening.
Maybe just one more cup of tea??

Take it easy Pat, it sounds like it's really knocked you for six. Glad to hear you're feeling better than you were though.

AB I think my daughter's piccolo practice has wrecked my ears already! My hand still aches a bit but doesn't hurt, and I won't be doing it more than annually so it's a price worth paying :).

Hope you had fun with Dove & co, Hosta. Pour a cuppa for me?

Trying to work out what to do with the Ipomoea lobata and Ricinus seedlings I've got cluttering up the dining room. They're in that 'too big for where they are but too small & tender to move' stage. My 'greenhouse' is more of a cold frame, really. Hmmm. Pondering.

Good afternoon all.  Just had lunch and am about to go and get busy outside after a coffee.   Timber and rusty bits not ordered.  Being spring, they have decking wood in stock with fully treated pine, planed and smooth so better looking and easier to use than the roofing beams we'd sized up earlier.  Trouble is, the lengths are different so I need to re-calculate and maybe re-draw my plans to keep cuts to a minimum.  Hey-ho.

After that a  raid on a DIY store for pale grey paint for the wardrobe and then the SM where they had special offers on hake and ling on offer.  All now portioned up and in the freezer.  Both very good in spicy dishes.

Yvie - OH isn't overweight and is fit.  Just noisy.   I slept like a log last night.  It helps being a) knackered and b) asleep before he starts.

Chicky - Utrecht is a lovely town but beware of eating stoemp.  Had the worst case of food poisoning ever (apart from seafood poisoning at a big do in London) after eating "traditional fare" in one of their famous brown cafés.  One year when Possum was about 10 we drove thru that area on our way to Amsterdam and asked her what she thought of the countryside.  "Very flat".

Busy - enjoy all the grand kids.  Hope your garden is progressing well for your OG.

LG and Pat and Pdoc - hope you're all feeling better.  Not good feeling wiped out for any reason.

I hope everyone is enjoying a sunny day.   Long weekend here for Whitsun and the forecast is great - garden visiting tomorrow pm and all day Sunday then gardening Monday.
