Thanks Joyce. looks like a lot of us have had fairly hectic week-ends, Obs and Hosta particularly - must be a gardening thing - we bite off more than we can chew, but get through it anyway.
BTW - if Lizzie is following, I want to come with some friends again to your Strawberry Tea, have you set the date yet, need to get my staff organized so i can escape?

Another lovely day. Finally got my runner beans potted on, and outside in the plastic growhouse. Hopefully they'll grow a bit more sturdily now they're no longer on the windowsill, with scaffolding reducing the light levels.
DD, it sounds as if yesterday was a huge success for you - congratulations! Great photos, thanks for sharing.
Hosta, hope you're having a relaxing evening...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Another 2 days of busyness. Have just read back, taken ages.
Have had estate agents to look at this big French farmhouse as it's all getting too much, too expensive and too isolated. At last the children have realised and have given permission to sell it.
Also have buyers for the Norfolk cottage and have found a bigger cottage 10 minutes away so buying that. It has a garden and more room for family coming to stay. We will be spending more time in Norfolk in the future.
Stayed with daughter 1 on Friday and Saturday as they have bought, very cheap, an elderly Connemara pony for their 12 yr old son. They aren't horsey, my grandson has been having riding lessons. They wanted help on the day they went to collect it. Nice looking but too fat pony, friendly.
Spent a day last week in the veg garden, the runner beans are planted and the ground prepared for the rest. Sweet corn, courgettes, cucumber, butternuts and purple sprouting are all up and in the cold frames.
Today we had been asked to lunch after church then OH was singing in a concert this evening.
Don't know when I'm going to have time to finish weeding my garden for the Open Day, feeling rather panicked. Had planned to do a load during the next 3 days but thunderstorms are forecast. I did get time to watch some wedding last night, recorded it. I thought it was lovely, dress a bit too plain for my taste, but she looked lovely and the modern touches in the service I thought were a good thing.
DD, if you read this, I am not doing a Strawberry Tea this year, too much on and not enough helpers. Most of the helpers will be in the UK visiting grandchildren on the 2 dates I'd planned and I don't want it the week before my Open Garden which is on the 17th June.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
