Chris Beardshaw, could make me depart, from the straight and narrow. :)

My friends got a silver gilt. One up from last year. I hope they're pleased.

Well I'm enjoying the show. Even putting up with Joe Swift being over used! And it's miles better than having to switch off snooker. Yorkshire garden is the winner for me.

Nicki Chapman speaking to bonsai specialist: ”Do you need to water this rootbound tree in a tiny pot?”.. I thought the fellow might faint from shock at the question.

  • Some cracking looking flowers on display in the pavilion, absolutely flawless.

I was very interested in Monty's interview with the RHS judges, l know they explained about the criteria, etc that they use, but l wish there was somewhere, say on the red button, where they analyse the gardens and the reasons for the markings that they give. With respect to Oswald Boateng (and his gardener!), l would have preferred more time on the judging. Still, Chris Beardshaw- yes!  :)
  • Sarah Price’s garden was so beautiful 😍
  • That was a good interview. You're right, it would be good to know a little bit more about what they were marking down and why.

I really don't see the point in interviewing these 'celebs' when they don't even get their hands dirty and look as if you have just broke wind when asked if they do any gardening. Pointless.
At least Kelly Brook, who was on this afternoon, has a keen interest in gardening, actually does a bit and was keen to know about the specimens she was looking at.

Had a great day there today.  It’s funny that the year Chris B’s garden won best in show is the year that it didn’t impress me overmuch.  My favourite was all the yellows and tangerines in the LG garden - very very pretty.

Yorkshire was beautiful, as was the David Harbour one.

so glad they have ditched the conceptual garden category- the replacement Space to Grow category had some real little gems.

a brilliant day out- my feet will take a week to recover 😱

PS - Penny’s Primulas was a wonderful display again - more plants were purchased, to arrive in a couple of weeks time 🌸
