Great pictures Chicky much better than mine. I forgot to mention I was there on Tuesday as well. I was on the Capel manor stand in the  GP. They won Gold I felt a bit of a fraud getting lots of praise as I had nothing to do with the actual display myself, I just did a stint manning the stand & in return got a pass to see the rest of the show. I tried to be systematic but I am sure there are bits I missed. I agree about CB it's high time he won top spot but funnily enough I didn't think this years was one of his best, but there you go what do I know.

@Nanny Beach - there's a lovely lacecap hydrangea with blue starry flowers, called 'Sumida no Hanabi'.  Don't know if that's the one you've seen but it's a cracker!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Thanks for the photos, Chicky!  It's lovely to get the "personal" take on the gardens.   :)

Thanks @chicky, you take lovely photos. It looks as if there's hardly anyone else around! What camera do you use, if you don't mind me asking?

Watching 'Chelsea' and just seen a wonderful example of either double standards by the judges or a lack of knowledge.  At the start of the programme they were showing a garden which is focussing on plastic waste and the oceans.  Bear in mind that another garden was downgraded because it had Hostas in gravel when they should have been in a damp environment.  The fish in the tanks in the garden were all freshwater fish and would die in an ocean.  The garden was still given a Gold Medal!
I can only assume that because plastic pollution is the big story at present they didn't dare do anything else.

Lovely interview with Rachel de Thame , her comments about the comfort of gardening really struck a chord.

    Lovely photos chicky, thank you.

Wasn't quite as enthused by anything this year compared to previous shows. Faves I suppose... the Wedgwood Garden and the New West End Garden for the power producing flooring!

Didn't think Chris Beardshaw's garden was that great, tbh. :/
