I'd love a few of those concrete blocks with the markings on them.
Smaller ones as seats, big ones as "sculptures" amongst planting.

Proves the point Hosta - some people wil hate them (construction site not a garden etc) others will find inspiration.  If the designers always play safe then the opportunities for inspiration moments disappear 😀

BTW are your primula friends going this year?  The plants I bought (mail order) from them last year are thriving and beautiful ....I am thrilled 😀

How can you lie there and think of England

I think I'm going to pass on this afternoon's coverage.  The usual selection of "celebrities" Who bets we'll see Joanna Lumley, Ringo Starr, Sir Paul Smith, Darcey Bussell et al as we do every year.
I can certainly live without the purile "commentary" by Nicki Cambell.
    I'll catch up tonight.
    Devon.

It's very heavy on social issues and the meanings of gardens too. It seems like the flowers / plants are sidelined sometimes, replaced by discussions about how holes in concrete blocks represent human skin ...... I know these events need to evolve and change, but sometimes they lose sight of their original purpose - a FLOWER show 🌻🌼🌸🌹🌷
Absolutely agree Jules.  This afternoon one woman was wittering on about how angry she gets when she sees somebody drinking from a plastic bottle.  "Get a life" was the thought which immediately sprung to mind.  Yes we need to cut down on plastic use but if she gets angry about a plastic bottle.....

The more I see of the detail in the Yorkshire garden the more I love it.
Some of the others leave me cold.
