@nultyphilip224. I have been off shopping and staying over at my daughters so just catching up. Loved the real fire and the photo of you is great. I wonder if you will put one up with glasses??
I don't like leaving the pets but they had plenty to eat, apart from the ancient goldfish who was making his presence felt in a fishy sort of way. He must be coming up for 18 now. He was my son's when he was a teenager, and when he moved out, fish (that's his name) got left with me.
I bet you will make a lovely job of painting Morwena VG. Please put the picture up so we can all see it.
I was surprised to notice the Cosmos have germinated already. I find Chiltern seeds are always good, but I will have to keep an eye on them, open the vents and take them off the heat in the next few days. Still poor weather here, we even had a hail storm. Off to watch GW on my recordings.
Hi the pink lady hellebore which Philip has photographed , I have a waiting list for the seeds if anyone would like to be added to my list please pm me .but please note they are not very prolific with producing seeds.
So Philip we now have a photo of you as you are before the specs ,are we going to get a photo of the Kent Clarke look -a -like .? Maybe some thing like this ???!!!?????!!!!!! ?
Oooops I'm afraid my sense of humour has seeped through at this late /early morning hour Granma
@nultyphilip224. Do hope the eye exercises achieve something. If you don't try you would never know. Did enjoy your video. Lovely music and beautiful swans. Do like them. Is this very close to where you live? Watched Monty Don this morning and there were some lovely Hellebores shown there. Your Heucheras are looking good. I did notice two of mine have holes in the leaves. Haven't seen any slugs as such and didn't think Heucheras were of interest to them. Went to B&Q yesterday to get some bark and had to go outside to get it. Asked the chap if he had any Hellebores left and what he showed me were nothing like the last one I bought so didn't bother. No flowers. But I couldn't leave with an empty trolley, apart from bark, so in went a small ivy for the wall, a pretty mauve Anemone and another Photinia Red Robin. Couldn't resist as it looked so healthy and I believe I have a place to plant it out. @Valley Gardener. Know what you mean about old photos. Looking through albums is sad as so many people have now passed on. Hope your Clems do well. I have pruned my one and only established one down but not far enough as Monty had no scruples about pruning his right down. Also my Honeysuckle didn't flower last year so that needs to be pruned down as well. You must show us some of the Easter cards you are painting and especially Morwena when that is completed not forgetting the Guinea Pigs! @AnniD Do hope you find some more bargain Clems went you next go to the supermarket. Loved the idea of you going around with your sad face. Have you pruned your Clem down yet? Remember having a goldfish in the old fashioned bowl and he used to come to the top to feed from my fingers. Won some money and invested in a tank with other fish and that didn't suit him and sadly died. Think he would have lasted a good few more years in the bowl. At least I thought I was doing the right thing.
Weather has been bad with thunder and lightning, hail, rain, gale force winds but fortunately no snow, yet. obviously no gardening done.
@Purplerain. Having some Cosmos seeds sent to me from "Seed Swap" so will be interesting to see how I get on as first time having a go.
@nultyphilip224 - thank you for that lovely peaceful video. Great to see so much wildlife along your walks (not forgetting Foxy Molly, of course), and the music is lovely too. I liked the cattle cooling their feet in the river... are there many public footpaths in your neck of the woods? We're used to open access to the countryside in Britain, but I understand things are different in Ireland and a lot of the open countryside is closed to walkers...
My garden has been peppered with hail, snow and sleet today, so I've been planning for summer from inside the house! Still too cold for germinating seeds outside, but we can dream...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
@Fran IOM , l have managed to rearrange my expression from sad to neutral for the time being ! I have pruned my clematis, and l'll definitely be looking out for more bargains. I'd be surprised if there are any there this week, it's pretty chilly at the moment, we have had 4 seasons in one day.
