Beautiful healthy looking roses.........great variety of colours.
Thanks Mary,..most of them are showing buds just now for almost the last display they will give for this season,..below are two No Id roses taken yesterday,..lots of raindrops.
You live in a beautiful area Philip,I love your photos of the river and its inhabitants, and of course Foxy Molly has to be there too!
Hi Valley Gardener,..the last two landscape images above will be changing rapidly,..the river will rise between that house and the Buddleja Bush to a depth of six foot also in the distance one can see the river far off,..the river will rise the same in that image,..its something we get used to every year though sometimes to alarming heights.
Geranium in full sun catches the eye as its right outside my back door.
Hollyhock viewed from the back as the sun is shining at its front.
The roses are gorgeous! I've just painted a Peace Rose for church.Trying to raise funds,as the church in Wales gets nothing from the English coffers! Poor show really,You'd think the Prince of Wales would put his hand in his pocket occasionally!! Still,Foxy Molly looks very happy with life!😁
The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.
@Valley Gardener,..thank you!,..i would be happy with just a rose garden apart from the scent and the beauty of them they do produce surprises.
I hope you get big money for the painting,..was it a yellow rose?,..it just came to mind that many gardens ago i had a rose named 'Peace',..it was yellow.
There must be Gremlins in the works,..i am unable to post a picture,..used the same procedure as always,..tried six times?.
Yes a pale creamy yellow, with a raindrop of course! Plus some Gypsophilia done in white and silver, and written on one side in pale gold "Rose of peace"
Definitely gremlins!!!😁

Well well someone killed the Gremlins,..i am able to post images
Rose ( Rosa 'Reine des Violettes' ),..producing a double from one bud,..the next image is from the back of the rose showing just one bud,..this happens now and again.
Chinese Lantern beginning to change colour,..most years the lantern remained green.
Hollyhock.
Tigridia pavonia 'Mexican Shell Flower/Tiger Flower',..blooms are coming to an end for this season,..a very easy flower to grow if one can get bulbs,..then collect the seeds for increasing ones stock.
The blooms only last for one day but replenished with new ones very quickly,..ideal for a patio,..the tall stems sometimes need support,..flowers are approx 6 inches across or 15 Cm's,..flowers are seldom identical.
Alas missing a long time pet,..'Dennis',..went walkabout three weeks ago.
Yes a pale creamy yellow, with a raindrop of course! Plus some Gypsophilia done in white and silver, and written on one side in pale gold "Rose of peace"
Definitely gremlins!!!😁
I think 'Peace' was in a garden of mine back in 1970,..it was a Cottage Garden as well,..a Beehive Cottage,..sloped roof on four sides,..with 1 Acre of land included,..the only cottage on the road,..in fact the only residence on that road,..for the purchase price of £1,400,..hard to believe.
