  • Nasturtium,..growing it upwards instead of allowing it to cascade.

Tigridia pavonia,..'Mexican Shell Flower/Tiger Flower',..probably the best season of blooms in all the years i have grown them,..original bulbs.

    Heucherella 'Sweet Tea'.

After such a dry spell and the hay cut,.. the remaining grass was very dry,..we have had a shower of rain nearly every night,..green grass again.

  • My garden blooms for June 2018.

This video is 9 mins long,..so have a coffee in hand :)

Beautiful.........(thank you so much for all the seeds, I sent you a pm).  You have a magnificent garden, I'm trying to grow one similar.
With regards to the lillies, do you always grow them in pots?
The plant at the beginning, with the bee and again at about 5.49 and near the very end, are they laverta? mallow? perennial?  I am discovering that I love large open flowers aka hibiscus, laverta, roses etc.
  • Beautiful video, the garden must be so fragrant with all those Lillies and Roses.
What a pity the summer is starting to fade, still, it's exciting looking for next springs bulbs!

Thank you Mary,..i did get your PM and replied telling you if you wanted any more seeds to just holler lol.

Ah that plant at the beginning with the Bee is Geranium x magnificum 'Purple Cranes Bill',..sometimes it looks blue,..near the very end are Musk Mallow,..pink and very easy to grow either from cuttings or seeds,..i put some seeds out to send you,..its much easier to grow from cuttings,..after the plants have finished blooming the approx 3ft= 90cm stems starts to die back however near the top there remains a section of green foliage,..cutting below that guarantees a new plant every time.

Yes all my Lily plants except for the Arum ones are in pots,..large Terracotta,..the reason is their location is on a cement slabs area,..rather than remove the slabs it was easier to use the pots as i had quite a few given to me some years back.

Large open flowers!,..same as my likes there,..looking at the garden in the past two weeks i decided to get rid of nearly all my Aquilegia,..managed that,..next is the Crocosmia,..the latter grow like mad.

    Hollyhock.

Still undecided about the Voodoo Lily family,..the leaves are impressive so i was thinking of leaving all of them at the end of the garden mixed with Ferns and Hellebore or even a few Hosta.

The Antirrhinum seedlings recently planted out straight from the greenhouse are blooming,..these are not the tall ones but the Medium-Height.

It was pouring rain when i took the ones just above,..better shots next time.

Thank you,..i am never fully happy with the videos,..when i make them and give them a trial run they are fine,..uploading and processing in YouTube very often makes parts of the video flicker,..many a time i just got so annoyed i deleted on the spot,..gardeners shouldn't get annoyed,..all that greenery makes one relax :)

Yes sadly Summer is fading,..thankfully roses and Sweet Alyssum make up a nice scent,..not forgetting the Variegated Mint.

For the past week i have watched out for a Turtle i spotted where the canal joins the river,..i spotted it twice when i had no camera,..today i got a good shot of it,..someone or some idiot dumped it in the canal,..it wont survive the winter so i am trying to figure out can i rescue it,..wading into the canal is out as the bottom is very soft mud,..one would get stuck and heaven knows what then,..so thinking thinking.

    Healthy looking creature.

That looks like a terrapin Philip. Poor we thing having to try and make it's own way in the world. Ask around if anyone has a landing net. It's not like we're short of anglers here.  :D
  • Yes it's definitely a Terrapin.Someone dumped a pet,how cruel, there are probably more around, keep looking out for them Phillip. Yes you just need a net. Then you'll have to read up on them!! They can nip!
