Wonderful weather for haymaking! What does Foxy Molly think of it? Loved the pic of the swan with her signets, and the lovely little Corncrake video.

  • @Valley Gardener,..Foxy Molly is loving every day she gets outdoors,..everything is new to her,..when the snow arrived that was a first for her,..now with being used to running through grass which was getting taller each day to find its gone into round bales,..bewildered but loving the now open space,..its a dogs life lol.

    A full garden.

Ahh, lovely little whiskery sleeping face!
Picking masses of Sweet Peas everyday and sharing with the neighbours, big success!

  • @Valley Gardener,..as someone recently wrote,..'you would think butter wouldn't melt in her mouth',..this was after Foxy Molly ate through my Car Seat Belt by a small amount ,..though enough for it to fail the Car Test for this year,..luckily the re test was free due to it being just a visual test,..still the replacement Seat Belt cost 50 euro,..grrrrrrrrrr.

So you have masses of Sweet Pea everyday and enough to share with neighbours,..well done and a nice gesture,..i bet your neighbours were very pleased,..i have the Perennial Sweet Pea,..in Pink,..not enough to give away though,..maybe if i plant more next season.

Hydrangeas are at last in full colour,..watering them with the hose pipe ban was hard work as i took water from the river.

    Some No ID Roses.

The Hydrangeas are looking good, such hard work fetching river water,we used to do that in France,as water was metered and Tres cher!  I hope Foxy Molly has grown out of that? Or does she have a guard now?😁

  • @Valley Gardener,..ah yes i am really pleased with those Hydrangea,..were i not living close to the river i imagine they would have failed considerably,..with the trailer and two big containers,.. plus the water pump sucking water from the river into those containers it was easy enough,..arriving home it was just a matter of turning on the tap on each container filling watering cans when required,..so you went through something like that in France,..its a big chore indeed.

Oh yes i placed a guard on each side of the car so she isn't able to reach the seat belts,..of course she may decide to chew on something else,..heaven forbid.

My Delphiniums are just about to be cut down,..the dark blues are finished for some time and then the light blues took over alas its time for them to go and Snapdragons along with Arum Lilies put in place,..they are coming along in the greenhouse.

Such a pity when the Delphiniums are over! The Lilys look gorgeous don't they? I've taken cuttings of a red Coreopsis, which have taken,it said on the original plant, that it was very hardy,do you think I should keep the cuttings to overwinter in the porch?

That should keep Foxy Molly out of mischief! My friends dog chewed up the soft material round her gearstick, she managed to get a replacement at the scrap yard though!

  • @Valley Gardener,..Red Coreopsis are a stunning flower,..nice that you have cuttings that have taken,..the Coreopsis is a very hardy plant and should easily survive on your porch,..the cuttings will be well established before the frosts arrive,..but they survive in very cold areas of the northern part of the USA so yours should do well.

I came across the Swans again today,..all in line,..it makes me smile to see how well trained the young are,..lets hope they never head to South Carolina USA,..they shoot swans there,..they even have replicas put out to attract swans to land then shoot them,..i have traveled to about 24 different Countries and never came across this before,..primitive people i guess.

That white structure way off on the left is as below.
