Zoomer , bad language at football matches these days isn’t to bad , have heard worse in offices . Morecambe will be a good one to go to first . You will be amazed at Man City by the sheer number of people , I hope you enjoy them
Went to the plot today to do digging very strong winds nearly blow me over a few times, hard to stand up
Did a good lot of digging along edge of plot fruit area - while trying to dig where one tree will be going to get the weed roots out quite far down fork got stuck and this is what I found in pictures - not sure what yet other than a broken plastic tile
So will be a lot more digging to get it out. yet lucky a fruit tree I do not have yet, pain it is so far down wont come out so far
Zommer ended up digging in an area with a few J Artichokes they have started getting roots on so when weather nicer next week I will try dig some up to send to you
Zoomer , just had a look at fixtures Morecambe v Crawley , should be a good game looking at there league positions ⚽️ Gardengirl , it is terrible what people bury , best of luck in getting it out Depending on Weather hope to have weekend at plot , more maintance jobs
Did a run to the allotment, unloaded the ten bags of compost purchased the other day, slowly and carefully not wanting to put my back out again.
Checked around for any damage all OK.
Then did a run to the local stables and picked up five bags of well rotted manure and gave the lady all my old bags, returned to allotment and put them in this years new compost heap mixed in with some cardboard also added a little accelerator to help get it going.
Generally just pottered around would like to have planted out my broad beans and peas but the ground is still a bit to claggy.
If we could have a few days of the wind and no rain would be perfect.

GWRS, I'm looking forward to the match. It's our working party day too, which wasn't in my diary, will go to that in the morning as I'd volunteered to get the snacks and refreshments.
Gg. There seems to be a lot of buried rubbish on your plot it is the same on the other plots? Mine is very much litter free. I once dug up a golf ball not sure how that got on the plot though!
It would be nice to have some windy dry days to dry out my lawn in the garden, it's in desperate need of a trim and general tidy.
Zoomer found 3 golf balls this year 2 on plot, then this bloke does play golf on the field so mabe others did years ago - most of other plots have been worked a lot over the years, where as not many people did my plot tried and failed and gave up so not been dug all over yet left for a few years as well - I found out 3 people had tried in the three years before me
Went picked out fruit tree for plot will dig up Sunday and help dig out others some for station and next door having some trees
Finally got to plot today Broad Beans now to big for clouche , remembered to put sticks in , usely forget until to late Read in yesterday’s Daily mail about Parsnips not being planted in recently manured bed so will scrape it of , rather than dig it in when I put seeds in Had to do repairs to fence following these windies , still a few more bits to do Blood fish & boned fruit bushes
Went to plot yesterday blowing a houlie nearly got blown over a few times lucky managed just to keep up, try to keep shed covered up and stop stuff blowing around next doors trampoline went for a fly a good metre try rescue it and the weed matting
Went dug out the fruit trees from up road 6 of them apple pear and plum 2 for Woolston station garden, maybe 2 for Sholing station if can in large pots somewhen in year project, 1 for garden and 1 for plot pear - which we went there and planted up in place today winds much better should be less tomorrow too
Later in garden planted up 3 of the trees in pots for now, will plant the 2 in Woolston station community garden tomorrow morning
GWRS saw that in the Daily mail paper too make them fork, my plum tree so in flower hope the bees come around again now the winds have gone - next plot fence waving in wind - garden one is here till it get replaced
Put down some rodent poison last week though, as a lot of gourds left in the shed had been eaten, me thinks by rats. In the GH, broad beans had holes in the compost, some sunflowers had been trampled on, the stems broken and Pea seedlings looked flattened as if something had walked through them. Put three dishes down of poison, twice on different days and it was all eaten.
Cleaning out the shed is at the top of things to do, hope I don't come across a nest.
I'm growing Okra this year as a first. Most of the seeds have germinated and have been potted up. Not sure what to do next with them, read somewhere that they like heat so not sure if they are a GH crop.
Going to rethink what to grow in the GH. I've planned for tom ,chilli's, peppers, cuemelons, cues, aubergines and now possibly okra.

We had snow today, it hasn't stuck but has been very cold. So pleased I didn't plant out pea's on Saturday.
