  • Went on a garden visit NGS open garden (belated birthday trip) this afternoon beautiful crocus purple and some snowdrops, got to see some chickens running around little fluffy ones, really nice sunny and warm day of took a lot of pictures and bought some snowdrops and crocus plants
    Back to plot tomorrow

    Just bought some bark chippings from Asda for allotment and compost for home from local g/c 
    Also picked up leaflet NGS for Lincolnshire, like to visit one each year , always nice to see what other people do 
  • Went to plot today lots more pruning done  - about finished had a good bonfire of wood found in brambles - went to tip with prunings as well, just to bag up rubbish found 
    Lots of people about today neighbour there, birds fed got to see the dunnock today great song

  • Went to the plot more pruning on bramble area off plot lots done removed and rubbish cleared found bits of metal - end of scaffold boards also bike wheel - so took and put on plot with metal stuff on for collection, tied back some brambles to fence to keep back off path area between plot and brambles
    On plot planted a forsythia plant in the area under the bird houses my yellow and blue flower bed - nice to do something on the plot - one daff opening up in flower planter on way home went to the tip with rubbish and prunings, been going there a lot over the last few days   - was a nice and sunny day got really warm wearing coat and hat as in bramble area they so get caught on me

  • Bit of gardening at the community garden today got the garlic bulbs planted out and some polyanthus also digging areas for 2 new fruit trees did get little wet digging last hole, just to go check out trees and pick which ones from neighbours friend not far 5min walk from home, today in community garden had tea break in metal shipping container even with holes in - we will have an open garden in June and a stall at the spring fayre in May

    Plot tomorrow hope so, been clearing pallet pile saw table moved some to different area and some rotted so will burn - take to tip, or give away as fire wood

    Not been to the plot today. The weather haw been damp and dull.

    Will let you know when I am going to dig out and send think you can add a layer of soil the first time when they get a bit taller other than that just good left to themself

    Went to the plot this afternoon. Started to prepare the GH's for spring planting. I'm growing more in them this year, so pots will be closer together. Cuemelons, toms cues, chillies, peppers, aubergines and okra. 

    The glass wants a good clean but the water isn't switched back on till the first working party day. 

    Gg. They sound ever so easy to grow...

    You have Both have been busy on plot 
    O/H has put 3 different types of broccoli seeds in 
    Was planning on having day at plot on Sunday but weather may turn nasty but have had such a mild February 
    Need to get chain saw out tomorrow and cut some wood for fire 🔥

    Went to the plot yesterday lots of digging done some clearing of areas for fruit tree, tried to tie shed roof down more with bungees, fed the birds
    Lots of pruning in garden filled gw bin,- border cleared, weeded, mulched and buddleia cleared out plants from one 5 tier gh
    Storm tomorrow and very windy now, car going in garage Monday so Tuesday plot to plant pear tree as in pot in garden and it is starting to awaken up
