I'm sorry Busylizzie to hear you've had lots of rain - something I was dreading in the run up. Here we've had the opposite - very hot in the high 20's and no rain since the end of May, so I'm having to water everything. Perhaps we ought to swap places!
Very humid and no rain for ages. Glad we are not on a meter yet. For the first year ever, I have Nigella, a lovely little flower, but not usually for my climate.
We've had nothing but torrential downpours for weeks now down in this part of Haute-Garonne. The fields are flooded and grass and crops ruined. Just had a quick look round the garden before the next deluge. "They" say there may be better weather next week, everything is looking so sorry for itself!
Another sunny day here, I feel for you floralies as I remember just how dismal the weather was and how frustrated we were with the continual rain of a few months ago. However now we need rain for the garden although it is nice to know that each night when we go to bed that the sun will be shinning again in the morning.
Sunshine again this morning then clouded over and a 43% chance of rain overnight which I will be pleased about. Purplerain, we went onto a water meter some years ago, but haven't really noticed much difference, have been using the hosepipe this last week out of necessity.
It's raining here early this morning (6.30 am) I'm so relieved as the ground is so parched and flowers stressed. It's windy too which isn't so good but as long as it doesn't topple some of the tall flowers, I'll be happy.

yesterday’s evening rain filled water butts as well
It's not rained properly for ages, yet it already seems like it's always been raining.
