Lovely sunny day today☀️Lawn is drying out after been under water for a few days earlier this week 🌧Boarders also looking better after using my cultivator to turn the soil over and get some air into the ground. Tomorrow is potentially the same type of weather and just  lovely to have a dry day and it does feel we are getting back to normal consistent weather for spring
  • Dull but dry day after a heavy shower last night - as long as it only rains at night that is fine with me!  Very little wind, but no sunshine either although not unpleasant outside.

It's been dry all day here in mid Norfolk ... temp in the shade reached 18.7C  B) and is still 17.5C now ... the blossom buds on the amelanchier have been swelling visibly as we watched and the first lily beetles of the year appeared.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

It was a glorious sunny day here in Dordogne yesterday, 24°. We've had lunch outside under the pergola for the last 3 days. Today was cooler as it was cloudy, but still quite warm, T shirt not pullover. Have got quite a bit done in the garden at last.

But had to cut gardening short yesterday as OH was singing in a concert with his choir and I was helping with tea for the orchestra.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

  • Grey and wet this morning after two dry days that at least allowed me to get the balcony in some order, just nee a week of dry weather so I can catch up and get on at the allotment.

Did anyone else read we're due a heatwave the end of the month?
Scuttled off with joy in my heart to find a weather forecast but if anything it looks to get cooler by the end of the month. Can you remember where you read this Mary?
