I hope things turn out OK in the end, Yvie, it all sounds so unfair.
Pat, your hair looks great.
Poured in the night again. Leg still bad. Car is going in for it's first year service after lunch. We'll have time to do the shopping then collect it. Must clean it, inside and out. I'll go to the car was for the outside because our drive is full of puddles. Need to pot on seedlings in the GH.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
So sorry to hear your news Yvie. It is like autumn here: cold, foggy and wet. Lying in bed listening to the radio earlier, I got this increasingly uneasy feeling, that we are entering into the most dangerous time since the cold war and we have no idea what is going to happen.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Thanks for you comments about the hair cut. I’m rather pleased with the job she did. It’ll be interesting to see if I can brush it into shape like she has. 😏
Morning all. The sun has made an appearance Busy, the garage does my car inside and out after it's service (next week) It's the only time the inside gets done. My garden help has dug out a small evergreen tree as the branches were splaying and is busy sawing off the lower branches of a few large shrubs to let the light in to the plants round about. He will then scarify the grass.
Morning all. Warmest wishes to you Yvie and to all who are poorly. @punkdoc , I don't know who is the scarier/more delusional/ dangerous/ self-obsessed between Putin and Tango Faced Trump.
Morning everyone. Let's hope next week's warmer weather brings a bit of health and happier times along with it, for all those having a hard time at the moment. Need to do the first pot-on of my Sunflowers today plus help my Dad finish sowing his veg seeds. When are we all going to all call the 'last chance of frost has passed' do we think?? I usually say last week of April here, but as the season seems 'behind', I don't want to be too confident!!
I was listening to the radio too @punkdoc ... doesn't bear too much thinking about ... things have come to a pretty pass when Putin appears to be more statesmanlike than POTUS . Trump has obviously never been interested in political history and is a fantasist ... at least Putin is a pragmatist , albeit an unscrupulous one, and deals with the world as it is. If Trump doesn't understand that then the world is in for a pretty rough ride. If May backs him then all I can say is 'not in my name' yet again.
As for today, I shall celebrate the emergence of my cosmos seedlings and the pulling of yet another armful of rhubarb ... we're off to visit MIL tomorrow ... I shall go bearing crumbles
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

The Putin, Trump, Israel situation all sounds rather alarming.
Lucky you, Joyce, French garages don't clean cars, not here anyway. Have done the inside. Will go to the car wash for the outside.
Now off to pot up tomatoes.
