I’ve worn myself out today. Walking up and down our hill, turning the bore pump on and off, filling three large tanks for the garden, harvesting some mini pumpkins, digging a bit more of the garden, two loads of washing out and in, practicing the Ukelele, can’t remember what else, but my wrist recorder advised that I have managed almost 8000 steps today. Aren’t I a good girl? Sorry yesterday didn’t work out too well Punkdoc.
@Pat E yes you've been a good girl. Sunny here as well, put the washing out. Got some over grown redcurrant cuttings to plant out, the roots have come out the bottom of the pot and rooted in the ground.
Pdoc - wish you courage for your reflections. Make sure you discuss with MrsP too. Hugs to both.
Lazy morning so far but am just off to the tunnel to sow some herbs and salads. After lunch, shower and weekly SM raid then dance class this pm. She's promised some new jive steps but I feel it's time we were doing some waltz or tango.
Anyone got any tips for growing coriander without it bolting?

lovely sunny, but very cold day, am sitting in the summerhouse, with the doors open, watching the birds on the feeders, generally trying to regain my equilibrium.
OH has a job interview this pm., so hopefully we may get some good news soon.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Pdoc ... life can be a bit of a seesaw can't it ... hold on to whatever works for you and remember the important things ((hugs)) like enjoying the birds. Flippin chilly out there isn't it ... I've come back indoors 'cos my hair's still damp from the shower.
Fingers very crossed re job interview
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
First dry day for ages so have been in the garden since 8am. Got to make the most of it as rain, yet again, forecast for tomorrow. LilyP, hope the snow has disappeared. Everything in the garden is so late up here, this year.
Afternoon Forkers Lovely day - about to go out and do something in the garden for the first time in what seems like weeks.
@Obelixx I usually grow Calypso coriander because it is said to be less prone to bolting. It certainly produces more leaves than other varieties I've tried and has an excellent flavour. Can usually get 3 cuts from each plant each season.
The main determinant for how quickly it bolts is the growing conditions. In a hot dry summer it's like lettuce and other leafy stuff and will bolt quite quickly - but probably not as quickly as some (if that makes sense 🤭)
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
