Hello all.  Been AWOL over the weekend and only just read back... you've been chatty as well as busy!

Spent an interesting Saturday helping with OH's spring concert in Liverpool, which involved our son and his friend, on drums and bass.  The choir were a bit tight-lipped at the prospect of singing a jazz mass, as some of them have sung the "classics" for the past 40 years... but most were won over in the end, and it went down very well with the audience.

Sunday was the local choral society's performance of Haydn's Creation.  Fun to sing and lovely to listen to... except that the bass soloist, provided for us by the Royal Northern College of Music (we have a longstanding relationship with them, and they supply young soloists for most of our concerts), had apparently not bothered to learn his part.  Plus he was totally unable to count.  Embarrassing doesn't really cover it... he had a nice voice, but we felt that was a bit like owning a Ferrari and not bothering to learn to drive it...

Great to see you again, DD - must look for your new thread.  Sorry you've encountered so many problems with your house.  I'm sure with your determination, you'll get there though.

Fingers crossed Mrs Punkdoc will be able to squeeze some more money out of her employers while she looks for something more to her taste...

Hello Liri ... good to see you ... sounds like a lovely weekend, with the exception of the bass ... what a shame!  Let's hope he's learned his lesson  :open_mouth:

Evening. Feet are throbbing after the first day back in work, so having a quiet half hour whilst the curry cooks. Loads to read back on...
I hope everyone is ok. Super windy here so glad I made decision to keep seedlings indoors today as they would be finished-off, not hardened-off!

    Evening all.
Had a lovely day and @Lyn came round . Plants swapped and tea/coffee and cake consumed.
No1 daughter in Mexico now and No2 daughter should arrive to join her any time now.
Every time I turn round I see things which need done. I know it happens every year, but this year there's just tons of stuff to do.  Am I just getting old?

No - we just get blunted doc..... ;)

Filthy afternoon and evening here. Been chucking it down. Back to the usual single figure temps as per the norm for April. Think I picked the right week to have off work too AuntyR! Wouldn't have got much painting or outdoor stuff done today.
Busy weekend for you Liri. Shame about the tw*t letting you all down  :|

    How is your 'itch'today Dove?

The arm's a bit sore today  - it's the tendons that cause most of the problem, especially first thing in the morning. I often move it the wrong way in the night and the pain wakes me up. I can't wedge myself in place so easily in bed as I did on the settee! The broken bit of bone doesn't give me any trouble at all, and the muscles are coping fine with the exercises - definitely a little more movement  :)

Hope the blisters don't put in an appearance then.... :s
