It's just cooling LP then needs a day to "ripen". An experiment to try out on the ladies who patch and stitch.
It's finally stopped raining here but is still cool. After 15 months of problems with drought we now have problems with damp stopping us working the soil but a nice problem to have as I can sow babies and plot and plan while I wait. Our predecessors had 3 concrete fence posts erected and wired for washing. Seems to me that filling in all the rows of tightly stretched wire makes a perfect spot for some clems and climbing roses n'est-ce pas? Need to see what the soil is like underneath.
Flumpy - pleased you like your new job. It makes such a difference being happy in your work. Haven't checked in on Marion's garden for a while so I do hope she's OK and just having PC problems rather than ill or injured. I'm fine thanks, getting to grip with what I want where in the new garden tho a long way to go and still lots of projects and jobs in the house to complete or get to grips with.
I was only wondering yesterday how Clari is getting on.
Off now to play with wooden wine boxes, turning them into plant display thingies. This could be interesting as I'm crafty but not artistic but we do have someone guiding us so it should be OK.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Afternoon all, Dull here, but not raining - yet. Aching from yesterday endeavours but have been out and edged the front lawn (had to leave that yesterday due to being too tired). Think I have only lost one plant over the winter (a chinese hazel) although haven't seen my dahlias yet.
Secondborn is due back from Gran Canaria tomorrow and I'll see them on Tuesday, be nice to get some cuddles, looks like they had a good time with some lovely weather.
Just deciding whether I have the energy to split a final canna.
Obelixx we too use our wine boxes, oh pus holes in the, for me and I sow lettuce and usher kitchen herbs, we then place them on a pallet and keep them at the back door They look really pretty. The older ones are used as sinking pots for annuals moved around the garden.
hope Marion is ok. I think she is an inspiration wonder if Punk has made his decision

Interesting. There are heaps of place names in Australia that obviously originated in the “old country”. I sometimes wonder if they were homesick, or if the scenery reminded them of the places they left behind.
One of my local towns is Launceston, also one In Australia.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
We had a good turnout and some very creative plantings. I shall put pics on the Crafty thread when I've re-sized them - old wine boxes, old garden sieves, empty picture frames......... They liked the chocolate apricot biscuits so the recipe's going in the next newsletter.
I'm off to plant out some more cabbage plugs and will protect these against heebie-jeebies as OH not impressed that I've given the last lot to the tiger moth caterpillars. Just need to find the net tunnels.
On the other hand, a snoozle would be good. Loads of cramps last night so not a lot of sleep. Double doses of magnesium and Tonic today.

Latest pics from my daughter. Salt flats in Bolivia 3,800m I know the second photo is a bit of a corny , perspective trick , thing, but I think it's well done.
I'm just in from work and have skimmed back so forgive me if I've missed something improtant. Safe trip to Norfolk BL. I hope you're not too uncomfortable on the journey.
