Morning. Hope everyone slept well, glad you did Hosta. Lyn hope your early start worth it and you have a super day.
its looking promising here, so more clearing and pruning needing done but I would love to get the veg beds done. All a question if priorities!
sweet peas needing potted on in greenhouse.  If last years mouse is still targeting me war will have to be declared!
    have a good day

Cool and wet so far and not as forecast.  Just having second coffee and then shower and dressed to go to a local plant fair which yielded lots of goodies last year in full sun and temps in the high 20s.   What a  difference a year makes!

Enjoy yours Lyn.   Hope your sweet peas are OK LP and that Pat finds here way here.  Struggling to get on this thread apparently.

I trust you loosen up as the day progresses Dove.  Easy does it.   Glad you got some sleep Hosta.  Sounds like you'll need the rest to get thru the next 3 days.

For some reason I haven’t been able to get on to the Forkers site. Seems ok now. Don’t know why.
lilyp, I wanted to respond to your comment about your Melbourne garden. When a certain politician named Jeff (......) got to be Premier in Victoria, he closed some primary schools and rezoned the land for housing units etc. called infill. 😡
When we sold our place in Cranbourne, the young couple who bought it didn’t have a clue about plants and we were told that they ripped lots of my treasures out. I suspect it’s not unusual.
Our kitchen is producing very interesting odours at the moment - Hubby is making herb pasta plus a nice sauce from grilled Capsicum and my tomatoes. Yum!

Oh, that was SO good. Of course, some brownie points should go to the gardener who grew the garlic, tomatoes, Lovage, parsley, and Chervil which contributed to the meal.😃😇
i suppose I should include some congratulations to the cook though.😁.

Morning chaps. Flying visit - it's FINALLY been dry enough to get out in the garden. The potatoes are in, my poor broad beans and peas that have been trapped in pots since sowing in autumn have gone in the ground - will they survive? Who knows. Lots of seed sowing to do today - I am so far behind I may not catch up this year.

Planting beans and seeds in mouse infested waters - my grandfather's tip was to put a few sprigs of gorse in with the seeds - doesn't impede growth, rots down very slowly - very prickly for rodent noses and paws and freely available from hedges all around in some parts of the country.

Morning Pat, hope you are well?, yes I'm ok but my hubby as got the lovely virus and can't stop coughing all night, he's had it a week now 🤒. Today is the first frost free and dry day, so my sweet peas at long last are going to be planted out yay!, I've got plenty to do in the garden, tidying, digging over the soil, trimming 😁 And it goes on.
whats the weather like in Australia Pat?

Roughly 30 c every day, Flumpy. Too hot to do much gardening, but I do little bits often (just as Marion told me a couple of years ago). No rain so everywhere is crisp under foot when we walk around the place.
