Evening Forkers :). Welcome back LilyP. Punkdoc, I hope you're feeling better. I also hope Clari's doing OK out there... and Fairygirl too.

Started weeding around the street trees today, with a view to a little guerilla gardening... am basically going to chuck some annual seeds down and see what comes up. There's no point investing too much as there's very little soil depth available, people step there when they get out of their cars, and obviously dogs pee around them, but the crocuses I planted in late 2016 had certainly increased this year despite everything. I like the idea of there being little islands of colour as you go down the street.

No revision done yet... but I have downloaded a load of past papers to look at tomorrow. Am procrastinating B).

    Enjoy your evenings.

Hello Lily P and everyone, may not have been here today, but have been on some other threads.

Went to the supermarket this morning as the forecast was bad, but it was dry and warm, 20° at lunchtime. So I finally got out in the garden this afternoon and did some pruning of roses, clematis and a shrub or two. Sky went dark at 6ish, then Internet went. Been thunderstorms all evening, quite dramatic. When the rain came tipping down the TV signal went, but it's back now. Still raining though, but not so hard.

Yvie, I find Cannas like a rich soil, lots of food and loads of water.
most of mine get planted out, but the ones in pots are grown in new compost each year. I use a mix of loam based and manure.

Nice to see you back LP, hope all is better than before.

Thanks P'doc, I have a bag of farmyard manure and some good quality compost from Ashwoods so I'll give it a go on Thursday.
