    Morning all.
A decent sleep by my standards, but I could have done with being asleep beyond 6.30 on my day off.
My daughters are meeting up in Mexico this morning for a week then both home.

  • Good morning, awoke to the sound of thunder this morning and  a quick but heavy downpour, one less job of watering the garden to do so very pleased to see it. Unfortunately had left a couple of garden cushions out. Sun looks to be back so hopefully they will dry out.

It's been a very long wet winter here so garden is very much in the beginning stages, also had to get the tea room and what seems like a million other things fixed in the house. It might have been a bargain to buy but nothing has been done well in the house, leaks and electricity problems from day 1. Hopefully over the worst now, although new central heating system has to be fitted in the autumn.

I am going to start a new thread with the development of the garden for anyone that's interested (if I can work out how to do it). So glad to actually be getting something done at last. Loads of plans but steady away.

Getting very frustrated at buying plants here in France, I am desperate for two particular roses and seem to be thwarted at every angle. managed to get one in a online basket yesterday and then the whole site crashed, offered me 10% off for the inconvenience, but still the site isn't back up, so still not able to buy my rose. That is New Dawn, the other one I just can't get anywhere, Blue For You. I'm going to ring David Austin's today to find out when it might be back in stock. Typical, can finally afford them and now can't get them!

I've had some picnic tables made and they are ready now, so after work tonight I'm off to collect them. Just hoping they will all fit in the car and trailer. And hope the sun continues to shine so we get to use them!

    Good day to all. :)

Morning all /afties Pat if you pop in
Damp here and back to the usual April temps etc. It just managed double figures yesterday but wasn't bad apart from a chilly wind.
Look forward to seeing your garden progress DD. Good luck with it all   :)
Sweet peas look well flumpy - well ahead of mine since I only sowed them on Saturday!
Enjoy the visitors Hosta. At least you won't have time for a nap  ;)
No napping for me either - back to work. Better go and shift. Catch you all later. Have a good day if you can...

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

It's fine thanks Flumpy Just a little raised bit. Nothing like the huge fluid-filled blusters I used to get. It didn't even itch in the night, thanks to the antihistamine cream.  :)

Morning all. Just about to take coffee upstairs.
Too busy to post much at the moment. Have friends of OH here, then his daughter is coming with her family at the weekend.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
