No luck Flumps ... nice chap at the last place did a search and none of their stores have any left ... he's found a way for us to cobble together a mend of the one we've got and we'll just cross our fingers that'll work ... the last 'cobbled together mend' lasted 18 months. Oh well, that's the way things go sometimes. Shall collapse on the sofa with a cold drink for a bit then see if anything needs watering ......

Thanks wonky, I started mine in February on my kitchen windowcill, I've fed them manure pellets and grow more and they seem to be happy, these are some pictures of last years .......... Your planter looks good well done 👍
Oh Flumpy they are stunning!!! 😀 think I better treat mine better, like you do, at the moment I'm just happy that some have survived the snail in the greenhouse! but now the hedgehogs are back I think the snails won't be so much trouble! 😉
Thank you wonky, I've only ever had the odd catapila 🐛 On mine, but I put slug pellets down to keep them away. Rain here in the NW, just waiting for a break so I can scatter my feed and weed on the lawn as I've heard it's gonna rain most of the week here.
Floppy day here after a very busy day yesterday with an early start and a late finish and just 2 hours' sleep. Today I got up eventually, had some brunch and flolopped reading after I'd checked all the seeds and seedlings and tomatoes and the new stuff were all OK. Then moved from sofa to garden for more reading in the sun. Only stopped cos my Kindle needed refuelling.
OH golfing all day so I have walked the dogs for the first time in ages. Lovely spring flowers down the back lanes where cars can't go. Really good displays of wild bluebells this year, a few cowslips still flowering and masses of different white, yelllow and blue flowers including bugle and honesty and silene and many more I don't know. Purple clover too. Gorgeous and the asphodels are about to pop.
Surprisingly few insects about about from 2 or 3 crowds of what looked and sounded like midgies on steroids. Huge and noisy. Biting season has started so I need to dig out the repellents and creams and anti-histamines.
Skies looking and feeling threatening now. It's gone very dark. Not forecast so I've no idea if we'll get storms or not.
Hope everyone's had a good day. Hope your door fix works Dove. I haven't sown sweet peas Flumpy. Some of last year's have made it thru winter. How daft is that?

We've got a proper thunderstorm ....... torrential downpour and lots of banging and crashing ... that'll be because the amelanchier blossom is just about perfect won't it?

Spring paid a brief three day visit and has gone. Rain in morning and late afternoon with a cold wind. Heating is now on. Love country lanes like you describe Obelixx.
OB at least you don't have to sow the seeds. sunshine now in Bury after a grey but warming day here, I've finally put my feed and weed granules down on the lawn so hoping the rain will do its job this week 😁
Well a half hour job turned into all day. T'other half wanted to jet wash the patio. First move all the pots. A big one fell off the sack truck, so had to clear that up. Then the washer was leaking so that had to be fixed. Then it got washed. Then the drain blocked. Half a fatberg came out, but the other half was down the pipe. A long coily thing was inserted. A hose pipe was run through the kitchen and out the other side to jet up from the manhole cover. Coily thing sent up from other side. Bath filled and emptied as it runs into same hole. Eventually, water started running through, the other half of the fatberg popped out, and a few buckets of water later it was cleared. Then the kitchen floor looks like someone has run a marathon on it in muddy wellies, and the carpet needed the footprints removing. Husband bathed, Kitchen floor cleaned, carpets vacuumed, hosepipe recoiled. A large glass of something alcoholic due. Next time he wants to jetwash the patio , I am going out shopping for the day. 😎
