aren't they just @flumpy1? One day Mr , or Mrs dinosaur stolling in the mud, then 65 million years later the footprints are discovered in a quarry . Im sure "creationists" will have a very different take on things.
Morning all. That Dinosaur obviously had a head for heights 🦖 🦕
Lovely morning here, but no gardening as I’m off to pick up my new (to me) car ....a black one
Hoping to get out there tomorrow, but see that our forecast has now changed to rain. Pressure is on now, as 7 tonnes of mulch is about to be dumped on our driveway......and it needs to have clean borders to go on. It’ll work out somehow, I’m sure, but just not quite sure how. Weeding with a headtorch perhaps . Think its about time I retired
Grey, misty and cool earlier. Think it is just beginning to clear. There are so many jobs to do I do not know where to start. Not much I can do sitting down unfortunately. I am thinking of sowing some more tomato seeds as only four of the eight I sowed have come up so far. the chillies haven't come up yet but everything else is doing well. I might buy a chilli plant in as they like a long growing season.
My daughter pickled her surplus chillies in plain vinegar last year which worked really well. I have always dried mine but the pickled ones are soft so no "bitsies" and much easier to chop into a pulp.
Clever quarrymen. There's a huge hole in the ground not far form us, alarmingly called "La Carrière du Danger" where they only dig after setting explosives. That would very quickly sort out any footprints tho I don't think there's any worry here about losing dinosaurs.
Creationists would ignore them. No dinosaurs in the bible as far as I know so probably not God's creatures. Sounds like your daughters are doing a very thorough and enjoyable trip and great that they can meet up occasionally Hosta.
It's a grey, soggy feeling day here. I have to go and buy some white wine cos the wine monitor has lost the plot. Then off down the tunnel with more old tables to support seed trays and then, if it dries up, I'll finish cutting the grass. Need to do some Karchering too.
Sorry it's turned so cold so early Pat but your dinner does sound scrumptious. Roast lamb for us tonight - leg, boned then stuffed with rosemary, ginger and spring onion and roast pink. A favourite and luscious recipe from Marion Jones that I've been doing since the late 80s.
Enjoyed GW last night. OH likes the dogs. Typical. I try and watch it while he's there now so he can unwittingly absorb knowledge, as I have with endless sport. I'm working on the basis that if I can recognise a wood, a sand wedge, a putter and an iron he can learn to tell a buttercup from a geranium. Did I mention I'm an optimist?
Have a good day all whatever you're up to.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

@chicky, I now have visions of abseiling dinosaurs. Cuppa and a wee bit of cake then I'm off to clear my beds, pre mulch. My Sister arrives on Tuesday so need to crack on. Dilemma: forecast is for 20C on Thursday so, do I offer to take Big Sis out for the day or revel in the lovely heat hear at home?
