Chicky, have no idea how long the laburnum walk has been there, it's defnitely not new. The red flower was a different plant from the silver leaves they were just planted close together in the glass house. The glass house is a new feature and there was no name on the plant unfortunately, I just loved the colour combination.
Our local allotment had their open day today. One of my favourite neighbourhood places, with fine views over North London. Such friendly and generous people and astonishing cake.
Where I live the railway station has given over a vast bit of land to the community and they have turned it into something wonderful. What a lovely site it is to see when you get off the train. Maybe more train stations could allow their land for local people to make a difference.
