Think someone was looking for this thread so thought I would bump it up.

I'm off to Pashley Manor Gardens for the tulip festival on Monday.  I will be sure to take some photos and post here

I was looking for a thread about gardens we have visited and did a search. This thread didn't come up so I started a new one https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1012115/gardens-we-have-visited-2018#latest
Or is this thread for organising garden visits by GW forum members?

I don't think the search works very well as earlier this year I searched for a garden gallery thread, couldn't find one for this year so I started one and someone else had already started one. @NoraGW put my thread onto it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hi BL this is just a normal post your general visits thread, Nora put your posts earlier in the year into this one. perhaps Nora will work her magic and combine them into one again.

I went to Floors castle in Kelso this week, for the first time in a couple of years. No pics sorry, but plenty online. Although it’s local, and it is amazing, I didn’t go regularly as I thought it would be quite static, y’know? Just upkeeping what’s there and not changing. I couldn’t have been more wrong, and there is a huge difference in 2 years, and it’s looking absolutely superb. We are falling over lovely gardens in the Scottish Borders, but Floors really is special. Worth a planned visit for you guys further a field.

Sissinghurst today.  Colours really standing out despite the miserable (and stupidly cold) weather.

How beautiful Racine - love Sissinghurst, but never been in Spring - looks like its worth a trip  :)

    Thanks @chicky

As well as what was already displaying the gardens were bursting with potential - lots of lush growth and buds everywhere.  Luckily for me Sissinghurst is only about 30 mins away.

Having only seen pics of Sissinghurst plus what I've seen on tv, I think I would prefer to visit in spring.
    Thanks for pics Racine.

Gosh, I'm really surprised by Sissinghurst in those photos. We went to Sissinghurst in April a few years ago in April and it was mostly bare earth, not a tulip or wallflower in sight. Also the buildings were closed for re-decoration. Was fed up as they charged the full amount for the visit.
