    @NoraGW please would you add these photos to https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1010075/garden-visits-2018#latest

    I did a search and that thread, started earlier this year did not come up. This has happened before. Search has not found the thread I've been looking for, is there a problem with it?

    We went to Bressingham Gardens yesterday. I'd only seen them in summer and autumn when the plants were tall and full of colour. Still lovely, though, in Spring.

    @Busy-Lizzie

    Those Bressingham pictures are lovely.  Such a beautiful contrast as well to the Sissinghurst pictures with plants spilling out all over the place.

    I was really pleasantly surprised by Sissinghurst too today.  Not sure whether everything has kicked off a bit more with that warm weather we had last week.

    Great photos - lovely to share your visits. Bressingham looks like it is just about to burst, Dorothy Clive’s colours are amazing, and Hidcote looks beautifully restrained. Did you get to Kiftsgate too Anni?  We did them as a pair when we went - very contrasting styles

    Enjoy Pembrokeshire GWRS - don’t forget the camera 📷

    Felley Priory, near Junction 27 M1 , Nottinghamshire.  The bluebell wood is a steep walk up a hill, so not suitable for those unsteady on their feet or wheelchairs. The gardens around the house are fairly level. View of the house from the edge of the wood. The house is private, but the gardens around it are open Tues, Wed, Thurs, Friday. There is a tearoom open 9 till 4 and a small nursery selling plants.

    There is some solomons seal flowering amongst the bluebells. we also found a patch of wild garlic in flower.
    We went early in the morning on 1st May 2018. We had the wood to ourselves for the first hour.  Although it was sunny, there was a biting wind, and the perfume was not strong. On a still warm day, the perfume in this wood is quite intense.

    @chicky, no we didn't have time to visit Kiftsgate as well unfortunately . One for another time. Weather this morning is really miserable, so l am glad we were able to go yesterday!
